Nine

Nine is a moon orbiting Echos, home to millions of abstract fauna and flora in a giant rainforest environment.

Geography

The entire moon is blanketed in a shimmering purple and green rainforest, consisting of mountains, hills, canyons and valleys. The Two continents exist on Nine, Opoxua and Mirata.

Opoxua

Most of the Northern Hemisphere of Nine falls under Opoxua. This continent is home to the only intelligent life forms on the planet, a type of humanoid invertebrate known as the melenis. These many-legged people scuttle through the gloomy, mist-filled rainforests of this continent.

Opoxua is a relatively flat continent, with only three major mountain ranges: one located along the Equator, and two others around the North Pole.

Mirata

Most of the Southern Hemisphere of Nine falls under Mirata. The south of the continent is very mountainous, especially on the South Pole where Mirata Continental Mountain Range lies, that stretches from the South Pole to the Equator, on the mostly undefined border between the continents.

While the majority of this continent is rainforest, a small strip of land at the lowest point on the planet is home to a most barren area. Many theorise that the sun's rays bounce around inside the canyon and cannot escape thanks to the rock the canyon cliffs are made out of, superheating the local environment.

Fauna & Flora

Fauna

The fauna on Nine is so diverse that scientists havehad a hard time cataloguing them all. With over 10 million insect species, 9 million bird species, 5 million mammal species and millions of other animals, there is no shortage of life on Nine. This is mostly thanks to the lush environments and climate, nurtured by the flora species.

Flora

Just like fauna, there are millions upon millions of flora species on Nine. Most flora species are either green or purple, a consequence of the flora containing variated chloroplasts to photosynthesise.
