Dark Umbrella Forest
The Dark Umbrella Forest is Unuth's, largest forest biome. Neighbouring the Teal Umbrella Forest, this region's foliage produce flittering shadows that scare tourists. Its wildlife isn't much more charming, either.
Inhabitants of the forest are secluded and keep to themselves. Houses are built atop these umbrella trees, their thick concave leaves providing enough stability for two to three storied homes. The forest floor sees very little sunlight, shafts of light beaming down between trees and bouncing off tiny puddles and ponds.
Geography, Location & Climate

The Dark Umbrella Forest borders the Dragon Forest to the west, the Unuth Glitter Forest to the north-east, and the Teal Umbrella Forest to the east. The atmosphere in the Dark Umbrella Forest is much gloomier, fog rolling in during sunsets and dissipating around midday.
The geology of this forest is complex, with strips and bands of different rock eroding at different rates. This has resulted in monolithic archways, tunnels, caves, and other geological features appearing around the region, making traversing the forest difficult.
It is densely packed with groundcover, with short blue grasses growing everywhere it can, purple vines reaching up cliff faces and wrapping around boulders, and umbrella trees reaching for the skies.
I love the way you described the sparse light bouncing around - it sounds very atmospheric!
