Cavotov

Cavotov is a planet in the Ria Solar System. The planet is the seventh orbiting the Sun Nasara. A very cold planet, most of its flora and fauna live underground in massive cave systems that are connected throughout the globe, in the crust.

Geography

On the surface, Cavotov is a very plain planet. In the northern hemisphere are several large, unnamed mountain ranges, that cover the North Pole in an "X" shape. These mountains have several cave entrances that lead into large hollows. The southern hemisphere is much more flat, and around the equator is a band of ocean that almost forms an entire ring around the globe.
Equatorial Ocean
The Equatorial Ocean is the only ocean on Cavotov. Located (obviously) on the Equator, it stretches across the planet, almost forming a ring around the whole Equator. Throughout most of the year, the beaches are covered in ice and part of the sea freezes over.

Cave systems

Jaicha Cave System
The Jaicha Cave System is the largest cave system on the planet. Located along the equator, it lies just below the Equatorial Sea. The largest hollow of the cave system stretches 1670 miles, from north to south. From the ground to the ceiling, the cave reaches a maximum height of 1310 metres, which has more than enough space for its own ecosystem (as all cave systems do), as well as many flying animal species.
Suhua Cave System
The Suhua Cave System is the most populated cave system. The warmer climates are caused by several volcanoes on the surface, with magma flowing just below the caves, and through the walls. In some locations, magma has actually flowed through the walls and into the cave. The Suhua Cave System is the most remote cave system of them all, with just a singular tunnel that connects it and the Jaicha Cave System.
Mister Cave System
The Mister Cave System is found about a hundred miles south of the Jaicha Cave System. This cave system is known for its large population of needlefish. The biggest cavern stretches 310 miles from its widest points, and the lakes at the bottom of the caves reach 142 metres at its deepest point. Over hundreds and thousands of years, large stalactites and stalagmites have formed, creating massive columns stretching from the roof to the ground.

Ecosystem

Different cave systems are home to different ecosystems. The Jaicha Cave System is home to a wide variety of plant species. A lot of these plants are able to generate thermal energy, which heats up the environments around them and attracts cold-blooded creatures. The few sapient species have established large cities in the caves, which are environmentally beneficial and have access to The Roof. Because of the size of the cave systems, large flying animals have evolved, like krudepals.

Fauna & Flora

Cavotov is shockingly diverse, with hundreds of thousands of insect species, thousand of mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians, as well as several sapient species.
Mammals

Gnal

Gnals are large herbivorous mammals that are found in most cave systems on Cavotov. They move in large herds, along the same paths that they use their entire lives. If two herds meet, a large fight will break out and the losing herd will need to kick out their leader.

Krudepal

Krudepals are the apex predators of the caves. These flying mammals soar through the caverns, using their incredible sight to spot movement on the grounds. When they do spot something, they swoop down and clutch the animal in their claws, and ripping them apart as they fly, consuming them mid-air.

Love the details of adding cave systems. Also, I want MOAR species, specifically the sapience ones and some plants (and animals as well but you talked about two of them already)
