Iroquet
Iroquet is the largest island on Hothiri, the capital of the planet. The island is home to Hothiri's micro-government, controlling industrial operations on the planet. Iroquet was once a paradise, a home to thousands of unique and rare animals and plants, but the new inhabitants have wiped out most life on the island.
Unusual shifts in deep ocean currents are causing thousands of abyssal and benthic creatures to wash up on the shores of Iroquet and its two neighbouring islands.
Geography, Location & Climate
Eugh, it's always raining here. It's like the sky's leaking.
Iroquet's summit sits at 1,203 metres above sea level, making it the highest point on Hothiri. At this level snowfall is common, frequently melting and causing snowfall runoff. Iroquet is the only island on the planet to have a still body of freshwater, in the form of the tiny Lake Iroquet. This lake is 985 metres above sea level, and is a crucial part in the island's water cycle.
The island has a large flat shoreline to the north and south, which has now been terraformed into small industrial towns. Much of the northern mountainside has been carved out to fit massive corporate buildings. Kannvas Oil owns the tallest building on Iroquet, its headquarters.
