Remember, camp is three roses away. Got it? Don't get lost.
— Nomads exploring the desert, using the rose as a navigational beacon

Flambela roses are an increasingly common megaflora species found in the Silver Desert of Cilvarth. Their ability to dominate the ecosystem, outcompeting against other plant species and having few predators of their own, has allowed them to spread throughout the desert.

Unfortunately, this has a resulted in decreased biodiversity in the Silver Desert, with its inhabitants encouraged to chop down these giant flowers.

Flambela roses grow to around ten metres in height, blooming only when they can grow no more. Roses thrive with direct sunlight, so they prefer flat, open space. Roots reach deep underground into the water table, up to a hundred metres deep, simultaneously providing stability during harsh sandstorms.

The size of the rose stems makes them great for supporting large tents. Nomadic groups around the deserts will camp around these roses, which also makes them excellent as a navigational landmark.

Flambela roses have become a popular plant in botanical gardens around Razhea Capita. These giant flowers have become a symbol of relationships in razhean culture, lovers gifting their partner a chalol flambela rose. The art of chalol flowers has been adopted by razheans and is an increasing common practice with Cilvarth's razhean population, as well as those on Razhea Capita.
