East Unuth Coralspikes
The East Unuth Coralspikes is the easternmost biome on Unuth, a continent on Osao. It is comprised of tide pools and rocky cliffs, with land-based corals growing everywhere possible.
These coralspikes biomes are found across the planet. What makes the East Unuth Coralspikes is the unusually dry atmosphere present. Desert winds from western Unuth travel across the southern coastline, diverging on the coralspikes. This dry atmosphere has caused a different type of coral to grow, a much hardier, dryer version.
Geography, Location & Climate
The East Unuth Coralspikes are an expansive biome full of complicated cavern systems weaving through hills and cliffsides. Tide pools dot the flattest land at sea level, while rivers and lakes cover the higher terrain. Waterfalls rush down cliffs, causing softer rock to erode in unusual patterns.
Ecology

This coralspikes biome is home to a plethora of endemic organisms. The scrawny coral otter, a rare mustelid species, can be found lurking around cavernous tide pools, preying on whatever rolls in with the tides.
Mammoth coralspikes are the most familiar species of coral found in this biome; tall, hollow coral pillars jutting up from ponds and lakes, filtering out nutrients from seawater and spurting excess water from the top, like a geyser.
Bird species are rare in this region, with only thirty identified species, twenty of which only migrate during summertime.
