Book of Chronology
The Book of Chronology is an ancient book of spells. Due to the nature of transcribed spells, this book is forbidden across the Yonderverse. The Book of Chronology is a malevolent spirit, seeking to destroy those that attempt to cast its dangerous spells. The book teaches its readers to warp time, undo, reverse, and duplicate timelines, cursing them with being time ripped.
Two hundred copies of this book are hidden in remote regions of the Yonderverse. All have theories surrounding their whereabouts, but have yet to be uncovered.
Many chronomancers believe a copy of the book can be found at the Edge Of The Yonderverse, or even beyond, within Deep Space. Many attempt this pilgrimage, none returning.
History

A thousand copies of this book were originally created. Eight hundred were destroyed, the rest scattered around the Yonderverse for the curious to uncover. Its creator, Pirit Merpe, was a powerful sorcerer desperate for complete control of all co-existing timelines. He was driven mad by his desire, his insanity shielding him from the effects of being time ripped.
The books were distributed across realms, Pirit hoping they would attract amateur chronomancers, so he could absorb their mind and soul, strengthening his. As countless chronomancers uncovered different copies, their life-force was drained and Pirit grew more powerful.
Pirit grew so powerful that his existence broke the bounds of time, and he was released from it all together, existing in a realm where time cannot flow. He became trapped in isolation, unable to break free.
Temporal Reign
The Book of Chronology is said to be one of few things in existence to possess Temporal Reign. This is the ability to control time for all things in existence. Those that can effectively utilise spells within this book can halt time for all of existence - typical chronomancers alter their own flow of time.
Temporal Reign is one of the most dangerous powers in the Yonderverse. Higher spirits and entities intentionally wipe out those that achieve this level of power, to prevent them from making too large a wave in all of existence. Thankfully, the Book of Chronology cannot alter time by itself, as it is a book. It requires a reader to alter time, of which it currently has none.
