Edge Of The Yonderverse
Nin Tara
According to countless legends and stories, at the very edge of the Yonderverse is Nin Tara, a cave formed out of nothing, yet contains everything within. Everything one could dream of. Nin Tara is believed to contain a treasure that manifests into whatever individual that discovers the cave's greatest desires.
However, because of the size of the Yonderverse and the fact that the majority of space is void of anything, there are no directions to Nin Tara. Many will fly in a singular direction in their spacecrafts and pray to a deity that they have gone in the right direction, only to be cursed with void insanity and lose their lives just days later.
Void Insanity
Void Insanity is a mental disease contracted when ones spends too much isolated time in the void of space. Unfortunately, it is the killer of every person who tries to venture to the Edge of the Yonderverse in search of Nin Tara and its treasure.
The most common and first symptoms of void insanity is insanity and hallucinations. The next symptoms to occur are elevated anger and stress levels. Those afflicted experience 300% higher levels of anger and stress, leading to self harm and suicide as the very last symptoms. Unfortunately, as soon as the first symptoms occur there is nothing one can do to erase them, and if the afflicted do not have constant attention their symptoms will get worse and lead to their deaths.
Theories
Most scientists are convinced there is no Edge of the Yonderverse. The most agreed upon theory is that the Yonderverse is continually expanding and creating new solar systems, planets, stars, and everything else. An old theory was that the Yonderverse was simply stretching out and then would eventually reach its maximum size and bounce back, rapidly decreasing in size until there was nothing left, but this theory has been disproven.
I wonder if there really is an edge. It's interesting to think about.
