One
One is the largest moon orbiting Echos. It hosts a small variety of plant and animal life, with
moonfrogs and their tadpoles jumping in the pools, eating small insects that fly about.
Three
Three is the third largest moon orbiting Echos. An incredibly cold moon, it is coated in snow, with mountains, valleys, some valleys that reach straight through the moon and reveals on the other side. The moon hosts a small variety of creatures, a lot of herbivorous mammals that feed on the short grasses and bushes that grow practically everywhere.
Five
Five is the fifth largest moon orbiting Echos. The planet has no life except for a single species of bacteria, called spectrills. This bacteria covers the entire moon, every crater, cave, mountain. The bacteria's most noticeable property is its bioluminescence, from afar Five is brightly coloured, the bacteria produces a hypnotic array of colours that initially confuses anyone who spots the moon.
Seven
Seven is the seventh largest moon orbiting Echos. Seven is known as a blood moon, as the rock is comprised of about 30% blood. This blood sometimes seeps out of the rocks, and in craters the blood will form lakes and rivers. A few species like to eat the rocks to get at the blood inside.
Nine
Nine is the ninth largest moon orbiting Echos. The moon is covered in a large jungle environment, which contains masses of species, ranging from the tiny
squiffler to the humongous flying
faldinns.
Eleven
Eleven is the eleventh largest moon orbiting Echos. Instead of being a massive chunk of rock, eleven is a massive, complex being that is instead named "Puck". Puck is capable of speaking, and people have built a research facility on Puck to try and understand exactly what Puck is saying. Puck is not alone, with much plant life and animal life living on the moon Puck is able to communicate with it all.
Thirteen
Thirteen is the smallest moon orbiting Echos. It contains just a single plant species on the planet,
rapidsnaps. Some species of insects that live on the planet have found ways to avoid being eaten, some will sit on their leaves and munch on them, or suck their sap with a proboscis.
Two
Two is the second largest moon orbiting Echos. It has the biggest biodiversity of the thirteen moons that orbit Echos, with over a thousand insect species and a couple hundred bird species. The entire moon is a grassland populated with many trees, and the insect life has caused the population of birds to skyrocket. Some of these bird species include
pocklets and
saffronbeaks.
Four
Four is the fourth largest moon orbiting Echos. The moon is covered in one single, massive tree, that has roots extending deep into the rock and above ground growing into massive mangrove trees forming a swamp environment. The roots of the trees form tent shapes underneath them as the trunk only starts a few metres above the ground, which gives a perfect place for giant insects to weave their webs between the branches.
Six
Six is the sixth largest moon orbiting Echos. The planet is overrun with small
moon mice, which consume the very moon that they live on. Once they die they'll eventually decompose and become part of the soil, which means the moon decreases in size very slowly. This moon is also a bright yellow, because of a variant of the spectrill bacteria that only glows yellow.
Eight
Eight is the eighth moon orbiting Echos. Or is it? Eight is actually a complete illusion. Eight is not real, but one always does until you go straight through it. The moon is theorised to have been created by a deity or some incredibly intelligent sentient being to disguise some hidden secret where the moon appears to be, but nobody really knows.
Ten
Ten is the tenth largest moon orbiting Echos. It is a completely desert moon, with a sandy ground and absolutely no water at all. All of the animals and plants that grow and live on the planet use photosynthesis to get energy to survive, and they do not need water to survive either, thankfully.
Twelve
Twelve is the twelfth largest moon orbiting Echos. It one of the only moons with sentient life, a metropolis named
Stargazer City also sits on it, one of the largest metropolises in the known Yonderverse. It is one of three moons without an atmosphere, and so there is little plant and animal life to be found on the moon.
Go Puck!
PUUUUCK!!
