Gaseon Complex
Tucked deep within the Looming Desert is the Gaseon Complex. This monolithic building sits on the south-western coastline of the desert, overlooking the Latica Ocean. It is brutalist in design, with slate grey walls reaching a hundred metres high, a distinct lack of windows, and just a small door fit for one person.
What goes on in the Gaseon Complex currently remains unknown. What is known is that the complex is designed to withstand immense amounts of atmospheric pressure. Its design and materials make it perfectly defensible against planktonic storms and magic.
Many have tried to break into the Complex. Most are unsuccessful, and those that make their way in never return.
History
Gloomy Theory
Traces of gloom have been discovered around the Complex, before disappearing the next day. Many theorise the Complex is examining this unusual phenomenon. The Gaseon Complex began construction in 1903, making it only twelve years old. Its walls were built first, presumably to conceal whatever was put in its interior. The height of the Complex rivals that of a titan trunk or a titanic tortonid, making it stick out like a sore thumb in the desolate region.
Ten years ago reports of magical-induced seismic activity flooded the region. This activity originated within the Complex, leading to mass speculations about the nature of this building.
It soon became a hot topic for the Looming Desert community, especially witches and spellcasters. Countless witches attempted to break into the facility to unearth its happenings, however none succeeded. Several hordes of people attempted to force their way into the Complex, however all were pushed back by Complex guards.
It's a literal mystery box! Always good to have a few of those!
At the end of everything, hold onto anything.
Definitely! :D
