Charm
History
Charms first started appearing when space travel and space colonies were still in their primitive stages. There are no definitive dates when charms starting being used, but they were instantly made popular. Charms were the first digital currency used in space, based on the beecoins of the now extinct planet Baraleis.
As the people of space advanced and developed, the use of charms increased exponentially. Any other form of currency slowly became unused as charms became the superior method of payment, as it was quick to use and easy to convert from palpable coins to digital charms.
During present day charms are the most widespread currency. 90% of the population of space use charms, and they are stored in individual vaults in Utopia. The transfer of charms from offline storage into Utopia was an easy one, and many people are thankful for it as Utopia provides ultimate protection from hackers. These vaults can only be accessed by the owner, using a combination of facial recognition, fingerprint ID and a secure passcode.
Utopian Storage
Each person using charms has a personal vault. This vault is connected to one's Home Base in Utopia, and is a virtual location that can be visited. The vaults are customised with an endless amount of decorations that can be bought with said charms. A few free options for your vault are available, but most decorations stay behind a paywall.
Most people enjoy the personal vault and its unmatched security, but many find the paywalls behind customisation pointless since very few people spend time and effort personalising their vault, especially when nobody else can see them.
Such a cool concept!
Thank you! :D
