Space Gate
Space gates are complex artificial wormholes created by dragging two points of the spacial void together and creating a tear between the two. A technomagical feat, space gates can be extremely dangerous if not built correctly, and a malfunctioned gate possesses the destructive power to wipe out entire planets.
Space gates are considered an outdated method of transportation for the most technologically evolved sophonts of the Yonderverse. Their unreliability has caused the annihilation of countless planets. Warp points are a much safer mode of transport hijacking the Shatterspace and generating doors from one point in spacetime to another.
These spherical machines are incredibly bulky, standing at around ten metres in height with a solid base around fifteen metres in diameter.
Invention

Space gates were first invented by razhean technomancers and astrophysicists, around six thousand years ago. The first space gates were incredibly dangerous, the slightest slip up generating a sub-atomic technomagic storm, destroying the facility they were built in.
The first space gates were destroyed and safer models were designed over the next few years. Eventually the original scientists had designed moderately reliable but with a short lifespan. These models were spread around the Milky Way and neighbouring galaxies, different civilisations redesigning them using their own technomagic.
Trash Planets
With thousands of planets having achieved spacefaring technology and still relying on non-renewable resources, pollutive waste is an everlooming threat. A trash planet is a designated title of planet. These planets were almost void of life before their designation, and they turned into a drop-off site for waste. Thousands of councils across the Milky Way collectively agree to assign various planets within the galaxy the title of trash planet.
Trash planets have long used space gates to transport waste material. The gates orbit most solar systems in the Milky Way, with Milky Way Waste Disposal Council security guards and drones scanning all cargo for illegal substances and peoples, as junk bandits are common. Cargo spaceships fly to the space gates, where the security guards undock waste-filled containers and drop them through the gate, to fall through the planet's atmosphere onto its surface.
