Snow Cow
Anatomy
Snow cows have an actual body just two metres tall, while their fur expands up to five metres in each direction. Snow cows have large, dense legs protected from the cold with thick layers of insulating fat and fur.
Each strand of fur is decorated with thousands of small barbs, and when ingested causes great irritation. Their bodies are designed to retain as much warmth as possible, to combat the horrifically cold temperatures of Greg.
Inside of the mouth is a singular row of incredibly large teeth. These teeth are incredibly sturdy, used as a defense mechanism. The teeth dig into anything they bite onto, and inject a minorly paralysing sedative that lasts a short period of time before wearing off.
Diet
Snow cows are typically herbivorous, consuming the various plant materials found in the frozen wastelands of the planet. Their favourite plant materials are the leaves off a xavara tree, trees that produce multi-coloured leaves and incredibly large fruits.
Using a set of teeth located half-way down their throats, snow cows are able to digest a whole host of plant materials, anything from tree roots to soft leaves and bushes. They are known to consume meat, especially the meat of animals they attack and kill in defense, but they can survive and be healthy without any in their diet.
Defense Mechanisms
Unfortunately for predators, the fur on snow cows are much too thick for any average animal to bite through. Very few predators can bite through the thickness of the fur and cause any significant damage, and their fur intimidates most animals into running away rather than attempting to kill.
If a predator attempts to kill the snow cow, the cows will reveal their incredibly large mouths and display teeth. Typically, this will scare away the predator, but if it doesn't, the cow will charge and rip the animal to literal shreds. Snow cows are known to be vicious and completely ruthless when attacking predators, and will stop at nothing to kill whatever tried to attack it.
That's snow cow....
