Sarabar Swamp

Sarabar swamp is a large swampland area in the southwest of Aendatha and western Mirikith. It is a dangerous area, full of many monsters and plants, and mostly the Aar-Aori, one of many sentient species on Greenerth.

Geography

The ground is riddled with rivers, ponds, and deep pits one can fall in at any moment. The waters are very murky, the swampbed is made of thick mud and clay, if you get your foot stuck in it you'll struggle to get out. Many swamp trees dot the area, creating an eerie shade all throughout Sarabar Swamp.

Ecosystem

The thriving ecosystem revolves around the plant life. Sarabar swamp has one of the highest amounts of plant species, due to the different temperatures and soils in the north and south of the swamp. This attracts many insect species, and the insects bring in birds and small mammals. The plant life is responsible for attracting many creatures.

Natural Resources

A lot of the plant species are popular with botany-mages. They focus primarily on plants and how they benefit magic. Swamps are commonly associated with magic, and mages are naturally drawn to it and the plants and animals found here.
