Clusterfarers
The Clusterfarers were a group of space-farers from the various planets of the Selvos Cluster. These people were destined to bridge the gaps between each planet and form a united nation, one that could rival any other large organisation in the Yonderverse. With one hundred and three planets in this solar system, there are almost a billion people that classify themselves as clusterfarers.
The Clusterfarers came in all sorts of species, thanks to the ecological diversity of the various planets in the Selvos Cluster. However, they all shared their desire for connections and communication, in the belief that people should always help others where they can.
History
The Clusterfarers were first formed around thirty thousand years ago, when various civilisations across the hundred or so planets began venturing into space. Spacecrafts would find themselves crossing paths, which exchanged gathered data and formed communication lines. These communication lines would prove to be useful in case one spacecraft was in need of asssistance, and all of these space-faring people just so happened to be extremely caring and selfless.
Over hundreds of years these people began referring to themselves as Clusterfarers. They would land on different planets and establish communication lines - since they all orbited the same star, communication was easy and it was almost impossible to lose contact with another planet. These communication lines proved extremely useful, as if one planet needed help for something, another would always be able to offer their assistance.
In most cases, it was a lack of food or water that a planet needed help with, and on occasion military aid. Several planets would band together to send care packages, packed with resources that would fix almost any problems the planet had. These planets all established amazing relations with the other in the Selvos Cluster, which was the main goal of the Clusterfarers.
To this day, the work that the Clusterfarers achieved remain in use, and their legacy has had a huge impact on the solar system.
Communication Lines
The "communication lines" that the Clusterfarers established were simply internet links from two points, Point A on one planet and Point B on another. The lines could reach an infinitely long distance and never tether or break, which was beneficial for planets with large orbits, The communication lines allowed for instant communication, hooked up to Utopia, the largest networking system in the Yonderverse.
Disbandment
As communication lines were established, there was only so much these people could do. Soon, there were no more isolated planets, and each planet had at least a dozen links to others in case of assistance. Over time, the Clusterfarers aided less and less, as each planet was able to grow independent, yet the communication lines remained in place in the event of emergencies. The work that the Clusterfarers did was incredibly important to the history of the Selvos Cluster, which remains as one of the most politically advanced and stable solar systems in the entire Milky Way.
