Ned
Anatomy
Neds share a similar anatomy to their macropod cousins. Neds rarely exceed more than 3 feet in height, and generally stand close to the ground. They have powerful hind legs, used to run and hop at speeds of up to 20mph. Their toes are extremely long compared to their bodies, and replace the tail as a balancing tool.
Neds have a purplish-grey colouration, with lighter belly fur and darker back fur. In some individuals there is a presence of dark brown or dark purple stripes along the spine.
Neds teleport by tearing their physical presence apart, copying it, and reproducing it in a new area. This painless process looks agonising, but takes little physical and mental effort.
Neds are a magical lineage of macropods that utilise reponemancy, or teleportation magic.
Phylum: Chordata

Infraclass: Marsupiala
Order: Diprotodontia
Family: Macropodidae
Genus: Notamacropus
Species: N. evanescera
Diet
Neds can only consume a diet of Earth plants and not Jovian plants. They are grazing animals, eating in herds with several neds keeping watch from predators. While their diet consists of about 90% plants, they will occasionally feed on fallen fruits, berries, and seeds from trees that lie on the ground.
Captive animals for studying are fed a diet similar to what they would in the wild, only 3D printed. 3D printing is an incredibly common and mundane form of food production on Jupiter, and is easily accessible by most. It is a quicker form of food production than growing crops and harvesting meats, which is why it is predominantly used nowadays, and because Earth is the legal property of Jupiter, and Earth-based communities 3D print their food as well.
Behaviour
Neds are very sociable animals, living in large herds of anywhere from 10 to 30 individuals. They are skittish animals, and when living in a herd, a few neds will keep watch for predators at all times, and each member of the herd will have to keep watch at some point.
Similarly to many other species, 40 or 50 thousand years ago a group of marsupial species went into hiding. They hid in thick forests and undergrowths, but as the thousands of years passed they developed the ability to completely conceal themselves from human sight, by reflecting light that hits their fur and therefore make themselves appear invisible. Neds are completely visible to jovians, however.
They can also teleport by ripping their physical presence apart and reproducing it elsewhere.
These skittish animals are our tenth and final entry in this list. Neds went completely unnoticed by the human species on Earth, and only came out of hiding when Jupiter gained control of the planet.
Discovery
Not much is known about this species in terms of their general behaviour, diet, reproduction, etc., but scientists are learning more information day by day as they study this unusual species. Neds were discovered during the first Jovian spacecraft landing after they became the legal owners of Earth.
Since neds had been discovered since the first spacecraft landing, it was presumed that these species had been in the know to humans for however long either one had existed. This changed when jovians studied what is known as the "internet", a primitive version of Utopia that had documents and data of every single aspect of the planet, yet nothing about neds and various other species.
NED! <3 Love the detail of the article. You've nailed the length of the article again x3 Keep up the good work! :D
awww thank you so much! <3 :D
