Shell Prince
Shell Statue
Shell princes have the unfortunate role of sitting on a tall shell all day and doing nothing. I say unfortunate, as they are subjected to the mindless gawking of passerbys, and nothing more. Some may take longer stares, but usually people walking past will give sea princes small glances, and then carry on their merry way.
Their job is to sit pretty upon these shells, usually holding a fancy crystal, a symbol of their village. They sit at the centre of the village, where people walking around will notice most.
Fame
It has always been considered unsual how shell princes have more fame than the actual rulers of the villages that dot the shores of Sunev Island. Nobody knows why either, but the traditions just continue for the sake of it. Even if you aren't from any of the villages and don't know any specific shell princes, you will know what a shell prince is because they are that famous. It is weird when somebody doesn't know what a shell prince is, because somehow everybody is always talking about them.
