Magical Bloodline Infusion

When several generations of a family practice the same magic, it eventually infuses with their genetics, becoming a part of the family

Generations of witches often specialise in a specific field of magic, and often an even more specific branch of that field: some witches may specialise specifically in Zookinesis, a branch of Zoomancy, and then this becomes embedded in every child born in that family

Usually when a bloodline becomes infused with a magic, it becomes apparent on the body

Floramancy would see a green tint in the eye, or in the hair, maybe petals, vines, green-tipped fingers, and a sparkly aura

Pyromancy would see burning flames in the eye, coal-tipped fingers and a person is warm to the touch

Geomancy would see crystalline fragments growing out of the body, in multiple colours

in some cultures this infusion is seen as a curse, a sign that you have practiced too much magic. this is particularly prevalent in cultures where witches prefer to give their children autonomy over the magic they practice, and to have their bloodline infused is seen as a bad mark on their family

often in these cases, the child is set free so the family doesn't carry the burden of cursing their child (the child is still "cursed", it just isn't the family's problem anymore)

in severe cases, the family might even bind themselves so they cannot practice magic anymore and burden their future children
