the Galaxy based on Shey Tapani

Clan worlds grew apart and began to rely less and less on a central government. Power shifted from Pelagia to local clan capitals. Early years: numerous clans merged, expanded, fought, and died out. Over trials of eight centuries, twelve houses emerged, each w/ own king/queen ruling over its territories and worlds. These houses exist in a relatively stable state for over 3,000 years.

End years: Houses begin colonizing new worlds on sector's periphery. Light settlement of systems in latter-day Freeworlds Territory. Houses make contact with the Mrlssti on Mrlsst, and begin trading with them.

Though he made his homeworld in the Procopia System the seat of his empire, Shey Tapani did little to advance his own house; he was remarkably even-handed in distributing power to the nobles who survived the civil wars. He established a number of universities and research facilities, and imposed a new code of laws and a new calendar (still in use today).
Within two generations, the cultural custom of nobility having the syllable "vor" at its beginning was so important to Tapani society that it was being retrofitted onto all official records and artwork for the founders of Tapani society. By the time Shey's great-grandchildren's generation were learning to talk, they would not have imagined any of their ancestors not being Vor___

Warrior prince Shey Tapani rose from House Melantha and unified the houses in a series of bloody civil wars which spanned nearly twenty years. Two houses were destroyed by Tapani during the wars, and a third faltered and was absorbed within a century.
Tapani laid foundations for a regional empire which would last for 6,000 years. Shey Tapani's descendants consolidated the empire over 5,000 years. Sixteen dynasties ruled the Tapani Empire in turn, most of which hailed from either House Vormelantha, House Vormecetti, or House Vorpelagia.
Bene Gesserit mystics arrive in the Tapani Sector with a warning about "the Living Machines".

In aftermath of Great Sith War; within 25 years, this route became an established path into Herglic space. The distinct angular Herglic tradeships and bulky aliens became common sights in Tapani space.
Within less than three years of the Giju Passage establishment, two notable Low Vor families threw all of their assets into the construction of a flexible, system-wide Shipyard conglomeration in the Tallaan System. The Vorbeni family and the Vorra family risked their reputations and their futures on this venture. While the Tallaani Shipyards eventually became known across the Galaxy as a reliable ship-building and repair corporation, the founding families were de-listed from the Landsraad for "a dearth of Vorish traits remaining in the activities of the line".
The war against the "Living Machines" took a long time, despite the Bene Gesserit order's warnings ahead of time; when the Living Machines were finally driven away, they vanished from the known Galaxy completely.

The Vorkappela Dynasty presided over a gentle and steady decline into regional factionalism. A cadre of military officers in this year staged a coup, and placed the worlds of the Tapani Empire in the hands of a band of reformers.

Procopia System sent its first representatives to the Republic Senate on Coruscant. Several members of House Vorpelagia were recruited by the Jedi Order, and eventually established bloodlines strong in the Force. Tapani nobles frequently travel to Core to do business, and ambassadors forge links w/ important Core systems s/a Alderaan and Corellia.
This is more of a rough ending: up to this point, departure from Palpatine's control did not have much support in the Tapani Sector
The planet Dathomir got too hot to hide on. The Rebel Alliance takes off and goes into hiding in several new locations. In particular, the Jedi Order go to their secret allies in House Vorpelagia who send them to an uninteresting little place called Dendarii System
Baron Lucian Vorhejeron of House Vormecetti has passed away, and it is time for his final will and testament to be read to his potential heirs. Summoned to the late Baron's estate are
Lord Vorrutyer has an unusual business planned for the height of the Capital Season, and he has invited a mysterious representative of Emperor Palpatine to attend. Rumor says it has something to do with an ancient frozen-carbonite "statue" that Vorrutyer recently recovered. Given that Vorrutyer is suspected of sadism, and that his own agents hint at the "statue's" ties to House Vorpelagia's Jedi-strong line, the possiblities cannot be ignored.
A gala wedding will soon be held between the young heirs of two recently warring Houses. Everyone who's anyone will be there -- including a Reverend Mother from the Order of the Bene Gesserit, and Darth Feyd.
Let freedom ring; let the vuptex sing
Let the Sector know that today
Is a day of reckoning
Let the weak be strong, let the right be wrong
Roll the stone away
Let the guilty pay!
It's Independence Day
A Tapani science station in a backwater system has abruptly quit communicating. Danar Vorpadaran and his friends are sent to accompany Rebel Master Sergeant Yeager Lexics on an investigative mission.
On a primitive world, Padawan Vanya Ysadora has come at her Masters' bidding to find out what's troubling the local tribes, and help fix it if she can. Darth Feyd, in command of a secret medical experimentation base on this world, has other ideas about that. He also still has Vanya's lightsaber from the battle at the wedding.
Master of Lightsaber-Fu knew he'd kick my butt and make me cry.
Instead, I shot him. He never did get over that.
The clone troopers have found something VERY interesting on a HoloNet message board: an old space miner is advertising that he has for sale an ancient artifact -- by the description, it's Sith! He wants interested bidders to come to a pirate station in the Freeworlds Territory called Port Tortuga, where he will check them over and evaluate their bid.
All hell has broken loose on Dendarii: Feyd managed to break free from his prison, killing two of the padawans in the process and severely wounding several other base members. No one is quite certain what he has done to Luke Skywalker, who is in a coma. All that's left behind is Feyd's Sith-metal black hand. The Jedi Masters suspect that Feyd is heading for a covert supporter on Procopia -- where, at the start of yet another Capital Season, Lady Padmé Amidala Skywalker and her daughter are attending a critical diplomatic meeting.
Padawan Vanya's report on the meeting with Domingo Poetinas mentions more than one incident with slave traders. Further information suggests that hyperspace passenger liners have lately become prey to these slavers, who process their very wealthy victims through Port Tortuga and Fell Station. And everybody knows how Master Anakin feels about slavery. Go investigate! Rescue if possible!
An ancient ship, adrift in space, named the Nostromo has recently encountered a civilian craft. Suddenly the civilian craft ceased all transmission. What's going on? And what is that odd sound embedded in the Nostromo's staticky reply to hails?
Water, water, everywhere. Also genetically engineered sentient human/dolphin hybrids; squid-like tribal natives; General Kane and a bevy of aquatroopers; Black Sun pirates; and -- Vanya's personal favorite -- a gargantuan tentacled shark the size of a spacecraft, strong in the Dark Side. Vanya gets on Sgt. Rico's last nerve, somewhat to KitKat's and Danar's amusement.
From the end of Helona 12721 to the beginning of Melona 12722, the party stayed only in casual contact with one another -- all busy with their own lives.
Khun Lakhia, now revealed as Tsu Vorboccioni and elevated to Count, needs to go clean up and restore to activity his family holdings at Torak Fell. Turns out that several Sith disciples installed a temple in his basement while he was gone, and the Galactic Empire set up shop in a city for one of their more psychotic biogeneticists: Dr. Tannis Kelsec.
The youngest children of two families have vanished, and each blames the other. Tired of listening to them bicker, Imperial Regent Aral Vorkosigan requested that the Jedi Council send a mediator. They chose Obi-Wan Kenobi, who promptly assigned his padawan to finding out where the kids really went. As it turns out, the heads of both households were once in love with the same (Bene Gesserit) woman, who vanished after bearing one of them a child. Now she's returned and taken their descendants away to Planet Spring Break (Crella in fact, in the Barnaba Province), where her brainwashing will be complete!
These are not the smuggled contraband artifacts that you are looking for. Move along, prisoner.
A Galactic Empire strike team captured a civilian passenger ship full of future mining slaves, "arrested" and "convicted" the mass, and put them to work on an out-of-the-way planet full of old ruins. With his Army minions supervising the day-to-day work, "mining base commander" Colonel Solias Traft collected ancient artifacts, reported them "destroyed", then smuggled them to a grey-market art dealer.
His plan ran into a few snags: one of the passengers on that ship, just trying to travel from a point A to a point B, was a still-fully-licensed private investigator named "VN Ysadora".
Who liked stormtroopers.
And liked keeping up to date on the laws of the Galactic Empire as codified and published, at least until her recent migration to the Tapani Sector made access to recent news a little difficult.
And did not at all like what Traft was up to.
And had a pesky ability to ignore Stun for a few seconds.
Eventually the TBs and TKs on base learned what Traft was doing; they put a stop to it and turned Traft & his Army coconspirators in, along with scads of evidence.
Most folks would stay AWAY from a sunken ruin that dates back to the Sith War. But then, Themian Vorhejeron has already established his lack of prudence when he sees an opportunity to hunt something large, rare, and extremely dangerous. On the planet Asanti in the Kipel's Star system, crops, man-eating plants, and cromas beasts all come in "Supersize".
Over a period of about four months, all members of the Jedi Council became politely, vaguely, completely unavailable to their usual allies -- not in a "refusing to open the door" sense but rather in what Vanya refers to as
All members of the Jedi Council are busy doing other things at this time, often with the TCs, and every bit of it is (you-don't)-need-to-know stuff. This skips over the fact that Vanya is either spotted alone, travelling on low-cost commercial passenger transit as a courier, or else is herself unavailable for socialization or consultation. Nor did she make many casual database updates to HoloNet, not even cantina reviews.
Captain (acting Fleet Admiral) d'Arcy would like his own ship back, the Spinward Hope. Problem: she's in drydock, having been caught in mid-upgrade when the Galactic Empire attacked. Captain D'Arcy's solution: the PCs will steal the entire drydock station. Yay, us.
What do you call a clone who's blond instead of brunet? Especially an entire unit of them?
In the wake of Salvage Rights, the Nova Troopers decide to strike off for the Outer Rim, rather than join either side.
Over the course of the next eight weeks, the Galactic Empire does what it has always done best:
crush the opposition.
The remnants of the Tapani Imperium are losing the war. Despite widespread communication troubles and the sector's lack of functional Nav Buoys, Palpatine's forces have established control on planet after planet, and have driven the Rebellion back repeatedly. Things are looking grim.
The Tapani Sector is already dark; as, one by one, another light of the Galaxy gets snuffed out, we can say for sure that it's only getting darker.
Remember Tik Sandrell? Eleni Benacor already rescued his youthful idiot self once. Some people don't quite stay rescued....
There is too much. I will sum up:
Our original mission, supporting negotiations to include Baron Anatoly Vorbanovich of House VorCadriaan in the new Planetary Council governing his homeworld of Gilliana, essentially succeeded.
That's not the problem.
In fact, it went so well that the negotiations concluded with a formal ball.
That would be the problem.
Tsu Vorboccioni died. Vanya fell to the Dark Side. Lod Zorad got molested by a 17-year-old daughter of the Baron, and wound up Poster Man for the Alliance Military. We all got better, but Lod might be engaged.
On the plus side, Danar Vorpadaran got to kick ass with style and panache using wine, cheese, and blasters.
A tedious investigation of a kidnapping resolves itself far too easily; this is the prologue to
Yeagerbomb - (noun). Ingredients:
1 repulsorlift, travelling at high speed;
1 bacta tank full of water, less the volume of 1 undies-clad Yeager Lexics (removed) ;
1 sudden stop.
It is a dark time for the Rebel Alliance. With the loss of Admiral d'Arcy, Alliance forces are spread between a holding action against new attacks from the Galactic Empire and searching for their missing Grand Admiral.
In a small section of Tapani Sector, a desperate race against time takes place. The Mismatch speeds along in pursuit of a mysterious smuggler ship that supposedly holds the missing Admiral. Unknown to both sides, other contestants have secretly joined this contest. This is a race where winning would bring a turning point towards freedom, but failure could plunge the galaxy into a terrible darkness.
The legendary Jedi Masters Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda have returned to the Rebel Alliance, with dire warnings about the fate of Master Anakin Skywalker and his plan to confront the Emperor. Little does the Alliance or Master Skywalker know that Emperor Palpatine, still obsessed with Master Skywalker, has enacted a plan of his own. If allowed to succeed, this plan would bring the end of Master Skywalker and give rise to new weapons and allies for the Galactic Empire. All hope rests on the success of a small band set on rescuing the unsuspecting Jedi Master in a lonely corner of the galaxy....
With the Jedi Council now restored to nearly the roster before Palpatine's "Final Solution" collided with the Mentats' "Final Solution", the political situation has taken a new turn.
Jedi Master Anakin Skywalker, as if to make up for his long absence, has put many people to work in unexpected ways, and given other people strong nudges to a faster pace. Rumor in the hallways of New Dendarii is that Master Skywalker has been heard adopting the catchphrase of "Mad" Miles Vorkosigan:
Forward Momentum!
But, surely, this is just rumor.
Pelagon System, Shifa System, and Procopia System have been freed from Galactic Imperial control.
Procopia was freed on 1 Melona, one day after the end of that year's Capital Season.
Rather than return and resume their duties as Regent (and totally harmless* wife), Aral and Cordelia Vorkosigan volunteered for a covert mission deep behind enemy lines. Their son Miles is also known to be "up to something weird", allegedly involving mass driver cannons.
Many of the Vor were killed by the Imperials, either in the initial assault or as later "public examples", and many ancestral homes were physically annihilated from orbit. When the war is won, Tapani society will have a lot of restructuring ahead.
Meanwhile, Palpatine's forces have been repairing the Death Star and lack only a few critical parts before being restored to full operability.
Unhappy with several of the reports he's lately been receiving, Grand Admiral Angelo d'Arcy begins avoiding the Command Operation Center; he blatantly steals the useful items among the COC's equipment and has it relocated to his personal office. No one dares argue with him because Captain Simon Illyan and Emperor Gregor don't seem to care, and D'Arcy's been in a bit of a mood lately anyway....
Size matters not.... . . ((GM note: this adventure references Allandor System but took place somewhere else -- do we have notes as to where?))
After long months of silence, House Vormelantha flounced out of the Tapani Imperium. The Galactic Empire and the Corporate Sector acknowledged the Vormelantha independence, which makes things a little hinky. They formed a "true government" called the Tapani Confederation and politely insisted that young Emperor Gregor Vortapani should dissolve the "false" government of the Tapani Imperium in their favor.
Once upon a time, Yeager Lexics found himself a Twi'lek teenage daughter named Ehlonna Lexics.
Along the border between the new Tapani Confederation and the Tapani Alliance, tensions mount over legitimate rights and claims to the Tapani Sector itself. The tensions take shape as ever more starships are sent to guard the new Neutral Zone that has emerged between the pair.
In the spirit of renewal: the young Emperor of the Alliance, Gregor Vortapani, with much youthful exuberance opens the festivities for Winter Fete with the Shaldania Parade, albeit with a distinctive Tapani flair. Ambassadors from the Galactic Empire, Chiss Empire, Herglic Hegonomy, representatives from the Corporate Sector and even members of the Mentat and Jedi Orders appear.
Meanwhile in a lonely, war torn corner of Cadriaan Province, a single distress call echos in the endless night of space ...
A short time ago, several young Vor noblemen were kidnapped from the sector. They have recently been returned by the Adepta Sororitas, in decent health; but all immediately settled down, found wives or accepted Bene Gesserit concubines, and became mild-mannered model citizens. This is not a development in keeping with their prior characters!
Admiral Vord'arcy and Security Chief Simon Illyan send a group to investigate the suspected location of the victims' personality change: Geidi Prime, isolated home of the Bene Gesserit order.
And ancestral home of the late Darth Feyd.
On the holiday Tapani Day which falls between the months of Kelona and Selona
with barely a month to go before Capital Season
massive political assassination is attempted on the capital world of the Tapani Imperium
Transporting Kath hound puppies is the slow, legal, slobbery way of earning credits.
Captain Benacor's on-and-off-again umm-friend Parnell Makola("Mak" to his buddies) has an old journal with some leads on a treasure hunt. He's willing to contribute that if Eleni will contribute the ship and the minions.
Easy credits, right?
And slobber-free!
Okay, sure, there's supposed to be a "Ghost Fleet" at the spot marked X. That's why no one else has already dug up this treasure. It'll be fine....

The Security Council has met in emergency session!
Details are sketchy, but they have issued a formal declaration known among the military as Order 65. Translating for our non-military viewers, this is an arrest warrant issued for former Senator/Chancellor Palpatine.
For the Security Council to issue such a declarative statement, which is believed to be in part to correct past abuses, the question arises as to whether evidence has arisen regarding the survival of Palpatine from the assassination on Corellia.
More as this story develops!
The Thelma and Louise of the Star Wars Universe have been picked out to handle a specific problem. May the Force help the problem....
Alliance and Confederacy fleets are having big "whip it out and threaten each other with it" contests over at the abandoned Neutral Zone.
There've been a lot of kidnappings, lately, sometimes entire ships.
Beskar Aran are getting to use all their newest tricks to try to keep security. Master Skywalker and the Emperor are off on a buddy trip.
In the Pavia System, having just delivered puzzleflowers and bantha weed to a Mentat colony on the world of Listoria in the far corner of the Cadriaan Province, the Mismatch picks up a distress call.
As the standard month dawns, success is reached in re-establishing the hypernet across the Tapani Sector. Trade and contact with the outside Galaxy is restored. Unfortunately, this requires dozens of scout ships to locate and manually reconfigure the remaining hypernet buoys, opening a floodgate of requests to the Alliance of Worlds that it was not prepared for.
Along the border between the Confederacy and the Alliance, this becomes most apparent from the number of mysterious ‘training accidents’ that have occurred along both sides since the arrival of the Mando’a forces among the Alliance fleet. In a gesture of goodwill and cooperation, Emperor Kane personally escorts much needed supplies to the Alliance, bolstering the reconstruction efforts across Tapani and offering a non-aggression, free trade treaty with the Tapani Alliance.
Meanwhile, on Tar Sona station that orbits quietly around the main primary star of Procopia, our heroes have stopped over after delivering cargo to new colonies founded in the ruins of New Shella, Reyna System, and Sheva System. While there, a strange message greets them, as if they were expected…
Along the border, tensions rise as the cargo liner, Phase Shift, mysteriously detonates causing a chain reaction that critically damages several Alliance cruisers and two Tapani Confederation scout craft.
Medical frigates from nearby systems rush to the aid of the wounded, while smugglers begin to profit on both sides.
Meanwhile, on the route from Gilliana System, the Mismatch is returning from a trade negotiation summit with House VorCadriaan, House Vorpelagia, Herglic Space and Freeworlds delegations....
With the historic proposal of Count Tsu Vorboccioni to emancipate clones brought before Emperor Gregor Vortapani and the Alliance of Worlds Council of Counts, the debates rage fiercely. Sides are taken, and lines are drawn sharply in the political sand.
Old rivalries push to the front lines of an otherwise peaceful engagement. All the while, from the shadows, a dark hand reaches out to gently pluck at the strings of power. A hand playing them like a dark harp singing a dirge for the living.
Meanwhile, it is Capital Season on Procopia. Amid the functions, meetings and other galas, tension hangs in the air like a dark cloud. There, amid the organized chaos of the season, a young Vor has undertaken the challenge of his life: he must try and teach a Drop Marine to waltz.
The government of the Tapani Imperium -- and, therefore, of the Alliance of Worlds -- undergoes several once-in-a-lifetime changes all in one afternoon.
Two smugglers and a private eye walk into a bar....
A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away ...
A weary Galaxy shakes from the tides of war. Ships clash in the dead of space, struggling for position to defend their homes or impose their will on the innocents caught in between.
Meanwhile, as star-spanning governments rattle their sabers, a Twi’lek farmer makes a deal with a crime syndicate. Desperate, the father reaches out for any help he can find to locate his son. He made a terrible deal, his son stayed missing, and the farmer now owes Rogga the Hutt.
With the boy’s time running out, the farmer sends another message for help to the Hutt. The message is intercepted by Jangir Toth. The bounty hunter instead routes the message towards Procopia to people he knows will be more reliable than the nefarious Rogga the Hutt.
It a time of Civil War in the Tapani Sector. Tapani Confederation starships, striking from hidden bases from inside the Neutral Zone, lash out at the war weary Tapani Alliance of Worlds. The Alliance fleet, spread thin, tries to lure the Confederation out from hiding.
Elsewhere ... Smugglers, Nightsisters, and Reavers prowl the destroyed hulks, searching for treasure and survivors. Throughout Tapani space, the Alliance fleet is spread thin trying to engage the Confederates.
Meanwhile, far from the carnage of war, Emperor Gregor holds a Trade Summit between the economic powers of near-Tapani space, excluding the Confederation. Leaders of the Great Houses, Guild leaders, political leaders and other captains of industry are in attendance ... All in one place ... The Emperor's palace.
Civil War burns across the Tapani Sector. Houses are divided. Brother against Brother. There are heroes and villains are on both sides.
Along the Calipsa Run, at the edge of the Nella System, is the starbase Port Santiago. There, the Private Dancer drops out of hyperspace on its final approach to the station along with dozens of other cargo freighters.
The port bustles with activity from refugee ships and freighters to a damaged Alliance cruiser in need of repairs. Ships from all different systems move through cargo of all kinds. Somewhere among the flow of ships, a deadly cargo sits in a silent hull ... an illegal cargo bound for the black market provided it isn’t discovered.
Bloody battles rage along the only two hyperspace lanes between the TAPANI CONFEDERATION and the TAPANI ALLIANCE OF WORLDS. Blasted hulks drift lifeless at the edge of the four systems that sit at the front of the way: Procopia System , Barnaba System , Shindra System, and Soterios System. All four are touched directly by the conflict. None are spared.
Casualties of ships and crews become almost a blockade unto themselves. A blockade of the damned. Rumors spread from intrepid smugglers that brave the battle lines of worlds scavenging for resources in the Tapani Confederation, leaving little behind. Yet, their ships and troops still seem without number.
Meanwhile, the Reaver menace is brought to heel on Port Santiago. Those that are infected or not too far into the Reaver transformation are cured; others are dealt with mercifully and quick. Vanya Ysadora, Yeager Lexics, Captain Eleni Benacor, and Greelo continue their search to trap or pin down the elusive bounty hunter, Torana Sivron - The Blue Spider, so that they may rescue their missing companion, Khun, also known as the infamous Count Tsu Vorboccioni.
In a major offensive, the TAPANI ALLIANCE fleet strikes against the forces in the Shindra System, gateway to the TAPANI CONFEDERATION . Despite heavy losses, the ALLIANCE occupies the system. Using what few forces they have, they secure the hyperspace jump points ... for now.
Meanwhile, life has returned to a certain level of 'manageable' aboard Port Santiago in far orbit outside the Nella System. With the Solace in port and the quarantine lifted, our heroes travel back to the capital of the Tapani Alliance - Procopia System.
Little do they know that dark forces, suspicious of what our heroes may know, have taken steps against them. Steps, if successful, may cause a chain reaction that would rip apart the young Alliance at a moment when it needs unified strength the most.
Heroes are hired to bodyguard the reporter, Charletta Komitz, while she conducts a personal, and possibly probing, interview with Dr. Jack Legrange and the unusual circumstances around his award.
FONDOR, seriously?
An attempt to assassinate Emperor Gregor Vortapani almost succeeds. He was poisoned by his Mentat advisor. Imperial Princess Katianna Vortapani steps in as Empress while her younger brother is incapacitated. Her Imperial Highness orders the seizure of House Vormecetti and House Vorpadaran assets in accordance with the charges of High Treason against the leaders of those Houses.
Darth Sidious is dead. (A body was tracked at all times, providing continuity and therefore proof. Alexander Kane is dead*. (No body was recovered.) The Galaxy is saved!
It has been six months since the fall of the CONFEDERATION. Wounds have begun to heal, and the flame of war slowly grows cold.
During that time, changes unfold across the Tapani sector and the greater galaxy as a whole. The Empress Katianna abdicates in favor of her brother, Gregor, who has recovered from being poisoned. Regent Aral Vorkosigan retires from his position as regent, and is replaced by Lord Admiral Angelo d'Arcy. In the greater galaxy, Sister-Captain Jenna Martovich becomes Empress Jenna I of the Galactic Empire. She settles on Coruscant with her consort, Yeager Lexics and his daughter Ehlonna. Positive changes begin to emerge in the Empire.
Meanwhile, on Fondor, life returns to normal. A band of four mercenaries returned to a summons over a recently released blockade runner from police impound. To their surprise, they find they are quickly awarded a search and rescue contract by Seven Suns Shipping to recover the cargo from a ruined freighter, the Bedazzled Apple, in the Lynx System before a rival company does …
Reconstruction and rebuilding are the order of the day across the Tapani Sector, even in the galaxy as a whole. Young Emperor Gregor turns his focus on healing the wounds of the Tapani Imperium. The Tapani Alliance Senate, following the direction of Senator Padmé Skywalker, turn their attention towards conflicts in the greater galaxy.
In the Galactic Empire, Empress Jenna begins the long process of reformation. Change never comes easy, and not all noble houses embrace the change. Some are willing, some resist and some require a stern lecture from the Empress’ consort, Yeager Lexics.
In Tallaan System, the crew of the Banana Republic bring the lost freighter, the Bedazzled Apple, into high orbit. There they leave it in the hands of the Seven Suns Shipping tug crews. At Mantis Station on Tallaan, Bi-Tai Iltrek is waiting. The Herglic greets the crew with credits, a warm welcome, and a job once they’ve had time to rest from their trip. Just a nice, quiet salvage operation in the Letev System.
Brush fires stir in the former boundaries of the CONFEDERATION as ALLIANCE troops begin the long work towards reunification. In a far-thinking, but unpopular, stance the young Emperor Gregor announces an offer of amnesty to CONFEDERATION troops in the Council of Counts. His reason? War has separated families long enough, now is a time of healing, not placing blame.
Elsewhere in the galaxy, whispers of a mystery are heard. On CORUSCANT, the headquarters of the CRIMSON KNIGHTS stands open and empty. Rumors say there was signs of a conflict. But no weapons remain, nor is there any sign of victims, or attackers.
Meanwhile in the coreward section of the Tapani Freeworlds, life continues. The crew of the Banana Republic enjoy an uneventful cargo run to Tamber System to deliver water purification plant parts. Then after picking up more cargo and a Mentat passenger, begin the quiet trip back to Tallaan System. All the while a covert Deep Space Probe Droid transmits a recognition code and image of the Banana Republic to its owners …
Just because the Sith Lord was defeated, that does not mean the Galaxy's troubles are at an end....
We were merely supposed to transport a batch of stolen Jedi Artifacts back to Allandor System. That's all we were assigned to do. Someone blew up important chunks of the corvette while we were in transit. The impact knocked us all out, and killed the archaeologist in charge. Then things started to get hinky. . . .
Investigations in the Procopia System get deadly serious.
Partway through, we follow the evidence trail to Coruscant and the consequences of dangerous deeds done while Palpatine ruled.
