She's a Hutt, and not much more need be said.

During "Mission of Mercy", she sent her best bounty hunter after a downed Rebel pilot.

Since those days, she's come after a few people in particular more than once. I don't know why anyone would not learn from their first try at Cap'n Benacor. Or their fifth. I guess if you've got a need to waste some money, you're going to try the old standards.
