A short time ago, several young Vor noblemen were kidnapped from the sector. They have recently been returned by the Adepta Sororitas, in decent health; but all immediately settled down, found wives or accepted Bene Gesserit concubines, and became mild-mannered model citizens. This is not a development in keeping with their prior characters!

Admiral Vord'arcy and Security Chief Simon Illyan send a group to investigate the suspected location of the victims' personality change: Geidi Prime, isolated home of the Bene Gesserit order.

And ancestral home of the late Darth Feyd.

The usual crew of shenanigan-enhancers have a plan of action: go to hidden Geidi System. Poke around until something tries to end us. Reason with it!

Some members of the adventuring party have a more involved plan, with features that seem likely to accomplish our goals.

It's so brilliant, it might work! Until we roll the dice, and then it won't work.

The route through minimally-charted hyperspace to Geidi Prime is short, but very unpleasant. Captain Eleni Benacor knows the way. Everyone is in silent agreement that they will absolutely not ask how that may happen to be, because no one wants to have their thumbs removed. Nonetheless, it's all Eleni and Tsu Vorboccioni can do as accomplished combat pilots to keep the Mismatch in one piece on this journey.

Vanya: Izzat turbulence?
Tsu: It's actually "Khuniance". It's like "turbulence" but a bit different.

But land we did, on a world whose ecology has been ravaged by disaster. None of what we see is a match for what anyone expected. We take what readings we can from inside the ship before someone admits that we need to step out into the unhappy world.

the GM: So Eleni and Khun are going out?
Eleni's player: Yes, we're going out.
Danar's player: Wow, I didn't know you two were an item.

Tall, lean people in desert gear and very precise, very brightly-colored elaborate facepaint appear in short order. They call themselves "Cetagandans". They are the survivors, and the descendents of survivors, of the once elegant civilization in the equatorial region of Geidi Prime.
They do not seem inclined to pleasant welcomes when they spot the visiting ship.

Eleni: Do you have a weapon on you, Khun?
Khun/Count Vorboccioni: Often.

A member of the scouting party, Warmaster Lauren Yoesh, soon describes the upheaval and destruction of Geidi Prime's people. He says that the Bene Gesserit and other leading organizations retreated into their respective strongholds rather than remain among the people. He talks about slavery, factionalism, paranoia, starvation, war....

Eleni to GM: I'm not in a good place right now.
Danar to Eleni: We're on Geidi Prime. NONE of us are in a good place right now!
— Life and Times on Geidi Prime, March 14, 2009

Eleni: I really don't like these people.
Lauren Yoesh: {talks on about violent recent history}
Yeager: I like this place!

Thanks to the sincere concern and persuasive abilities of several party members, the local Cetagandan group decide we are potential allies. They want to celebrate our acquaintance with a drink, which Danar provides. Danar hides his dismay: it is costing him some of the best, most expensive vintage wine remaining in his personal stock.

Oh -- and VN Ysadora does not actually drink, a fact that has escaped the circle of her friends for all this time because she blends into a bar scene by purchasing a "draft beer" and then never actually sipping from it. (She uses it as a prop, letting it slosh or occasionally swapping her glass for an unattended empty.) "I'm a cheap drunk," Vanya tries to excuse herself to Lauren Yoesh.

Oh, no; {gestures with tin cup} with this, you'll be an expensive drunk.
Danar contributed his vintage wine to the cause, but is not too happy about it. Life and Times on Geidi Prime, March 14, 2009

But despite the awkwardness of Vanya being a very careful recovering alcoholic, drinks are poured and toasts are made. In the process, proper names are exchanged, and a few notable yet relevant deeds.

Things come to quite the abrupt halt when the Cetagandans learn that Tsu Vorboccioni is the man who killed Darth Feyd.

The Feyd-Killer, the Cetagandans cry out in astonishment.

Tsu: I am Tsu Vorboccioni. "Khun" is what my friends call me.
Vanya: We usually add, "ya big stuuuud!"
Eleni: And/or: "What did you do now?"
Warmaster Lauren Yoesh: {blink blink}
Vanya: So the long version of that nickname would be, "Khun, ya big stud, what the hell did you do NOW?" But we usually just stick with "Khun".

This leads, in the short term, into the discovery of some evil Bene Gesserits who have decided to take much more active control in the genetic destiny of the Tapani Imperium.

Tsu Vorboccioni: I'm looking at you because you have a holoprojector.
Yeager Lexics: Oooo oooo ooo!

Vanya: We got this. I can do this.
Eleni's player: She thinks we can do this.
GM: Jedi confidence.
Yeager's player's visiting brother: SPARTANS! TONIGHT WE DINE IN HELL!
— Vanya isn't as confident as she sounds, "Life and Times on Geidi Prime", Star Wars: Shards of Honor Campaign, March 28, 2009

She likes to be on top!
