Gregor instated on the
Tapani throne, for years she stayed mostly in the background.
Most political wits discounted her utterly as a power.
They’re idiots.
She’s older than Gregor by four years, but she’s also the only tie he has to his early life; of course they’re good friends. Fortunately, she happens to be a good kid, when she’s not getting intense emotional abuse from her “advisors”.

Physical Description
Katianna is a very fit woman in her mid-twenties. She employs four separate tutors for private lessons in two martial arts, parkour, and acrobatics, all grouped under the euphemism "dance". She has also prevailed upon her Beskar Aran honor guard to teach her some less formal "street fighting" techniques, reasoning, "I am my-brother-the-Emperor's absolute last line of defense, regardless of what he thinks about trying to defend me."
Katianna has also spent long stretches of time in the company of representatives from various highly self-disciplined orders, including the Bene Gesserit, Mentats, and Jedi. She has no formal ranking in any martial art, but she has been taught many ways of persisting in the path to her goal. Even Palpatine was never quite able to completely overtake this young woman's will.
Social
Ivan Vorpatril is her confidant and friend, and neither Vanya nor Danar will even hint at the chance of the possibility that Katianna and Ivan were doing any more than TALKING. Because they WEREN’T.* Totally.
