Northern Isle

The Northern Isle is a large land mass, on Esau, shaped like a winged creature in flight. Scuttle Bay rests as a strait within the Northern Isle.

Underneath is the Underdark of Ru'Mal - one path down is through a place known as The Gahara.

The Whale Sea is around the exterior sides of the land mass. The Bold Strait separates Fogi Island from the Northern Isle.

It is home to The Whispering Coast Clan of Tabaxi people - especially in Farr City, and to The Sunrayin Tribe in the Gallic Desert.


Onata is known for the beautiful beach, and the Nature museum (horrific to some, and amazing to others), as well as the Library and Lumberyard.


* The Paddlewheel Boat The Princess Azalea travels on Scuttle Bay between Seamoon, Princess Bay, Quaint, Souji and Devai.


* Genasi have always been free within the Northern Isle, whereas have been slaves until more recently on Malnax and other regions of Esau.

Tourism

Farr City is a popular desination for many people who live within the Northern Isles, and for those visiting from further out into Esau.
As people move further into the infrequently travelled southern side of the Northern Isle, the towns are smaller and the locals are less use trusting of strangers - however have more visitors from The Feywild Realm. The terrain is frequently rougher and everything seems more wild and dense.

Many people will unwillingly to much past the Europia River. The sight of the Spiral Peak does lead some to travel further. Some get as far as Stony - most who are not local to the area will not travel through, or even near, either Echo Woods or Dusk Quagmire.
Many residence of Northern Isle do not what lies beyond the Spiral Peak.

to Quaint = 10 hours;
to Souji = 7-8 hours ;
to Luuva on Luuva Island = 4 hours sailing
* Takes 22 days to cross the centre Gallic Desert - at widest point from Farr City to Hyon takes 9 days
* Wether: to Hyon takes 9.5 hours - passing by the Bardic Springs.
* Castow: to Euopia River takes 1 hour travel; to base of Spiral Peak takes 3.5 hours to Stony takes 11 hours
* Princess Bay: to Seamoon takes 7.5 hours; to Quaint takes 6 hours
