Bathhouse

There are various different Health & Beauty Spas, or Bathhouses, within Esau.

The purpose of a bathhouse is to clean, meet people, soak in water, pamper, and also healing.
It is considered a unique yet time-tested approach for pain relief as well as a method of boosting wellness and reducing stress.

Prices

Costs of the bathhouse:
5 sp for a day at the bathhouse
1 gp for a session with a "sinew soother"
2 gp for a curative salt bath

Private Bath* = Cost: 5sp (cold) 3gp (hot)
A bath can be requested to be drawn for you at most inns, taverns, or other similar establishment. By doing so, you gain privacy while bathing and the use of soap. * less expensive at an Inn or Tavern

Rules

The owner and attendees maintained a strict set of rules:
+ Clients were not allowed to bare any weapons within
+ Clients were only allowed to wear the house's own complementary silk robes
+ No violence of any kind was permitted inside
+ No touching without permission for staff or clients

SERVICES

Facial scrubs: (2sp) Relaxing and releasing tension, also the person can think of one disguise for their face for 1 hour.
Oil of Slipperiness Massage: (1 gp) The affected creature then gains the effects if the Freedom of Movement spell (unaffected by Difficult Terrain, and Spells and other magical Effects can neither reduce the target's speed nor cause the target to be Paralyzed or Restrained) for 8 hours.
Seaweed Wrap: (7sp) Relaxing full body wrap which grants the person the ability to breathe underwater for 24 hours.
Mud baths: (7sp) Relaxing bath in special mud than is frisked until smooth.
Dye Bath: sitting in a dye bath is common place for people with Quoroplatea - as there is no cure. The dye might last 48 to 120 hours. Red or orange coloured dye is most commonly successful. Sauna: provides temporary Heat Resistance for 24 hours.
Acupuncture: temporary advantage to Dex rolls for 24 hours.
Magical bubblebath: soak in these bubbles does minor healing = regain a number of hit points equal to 2d8. Magical spa treatments like facials that leave you sparkling.
Dragonborn Scale scrub: Each Dragonborn colour has a preferred powder to mix with black powder to use on their scales (see Dragonborn entry for details of which powder).

Laundry Service = 5 sp per garment.
Prestidigitation and Mending: an awesome laundry service.

PRODUCTS

Cleansing pouch: (4sp for 5 dozes)
A pouch containing nettles, pepper, parsley, dandelion and hibiscus leaves. Can be used to steep a tea. Alternatively, it can be wetted and placed straight on a wound as a tincture to clean it out. Removes Poisoned status.
Hair and body oil: (9sp for a bottle - 5 Human-size full body coverage)
A fragrant oil, made of almonds, argan and jojoba, with woodsy undertones in the scent. Using this makes the user look well put-together, as if they made an effort that day. It gives them advantage to Charisma checks for 1 hour.
Revitalizing bath salt mix: (1gp for 5 uses)
This jar of herbs smells quite strong, and contains, among other things, fennel, aniseed and cinnamon, as well as coriander and lemongrass. It’s a very refreshing blend that clears the head and soothes a weary body. Taking a bath with this mix in the water, in a relaxed environment, allows the user to gain one (extra) spell slot or mystic arcanum slot on a short rest, up to a maximum of their regular amount of spell slots.
