Dragonborn


Originally born of Dragons, as their name proclaims, the dragonborns are a proud and bold race. Dragonborn were at first hatched from eggs similar to that of Dragons. Combining the best attributes of Dragons and humanoids. Some dragonborn remain faithful servants to Dragons, while others form the ranks of other humanoid soldiers in great wars, and still others find themselves adrift, with no clear calling in life.

Dragonborn look very much like small Dragons standing erect in humanoid form, though they lack wings. Some still have the tails of the Dragons, while others are without a tail. The first dragonborn had scales of vibrant hues matching the colours of their dragon kin, but generations of interbreeding have created a more uniform appearance. Their small, fine scales range in colour. Their hands and feet are strong, talonlike claws with three fingers and a thumb on each hand.

The blood of a particular type of dragon runs very strong through some dragonborns. These dragonborn often boast scales that more closely match those of their dragon ancestor.

Though all dragonborn strive to be self-sufficient, they can recognise that help is sometimes needed in difficult situations. However, they consider best source for such help is from loyal friends and family.



Draconic Ancestry
They have distantly related to a Dragons. There ancestry connects them to a particular colouring and type of Dragon. This determines the damage and area of their breath weapon, and the type of resistance they gain.
Dragon - Damage Type; Breath Weapon:
Black = Acid - 5 by 30 ft. line (Dex. save)
Blue = Lightning - 5 by 30 ft. line (Dex. save)
Brass = Fire - 5 by 30 ft. line (Dex. save)
Bronze = Lightning - 5 by 30 ft. line (Dex. save)
Copper = Acid - 5 by 30 ft. line (Dex. save)
Gold = Fire - 15 ft. cone (Dex. save)
Green = Poison - 15 ft. cone (Con. save)

Breath Weapon
They can use an action to exhale destructive energy. It deals damage in an area according to their ancestry. When they use your breath weapon, all creatures in the area must make a saving throw, the type of which is determined by their ancestry.
The DC of this saving throw is 8 + Constitution modifier + proficiency bonus. A creature takes 2d6 damage on a failed save, and half as much damage on a successful one.
The damage increase to 3d6 at 6th level, 4d6 at 11th, and 5d6 at 16th level.
After using your breath weapon, you cannot use it again until you complete a short or long rest.

Damage Resistance
They have resistance to the damage type associated with their draconic ancestry.

Dragonborns are hatched from eggs.
Young dragonborn grow quickly. They walk hours after hatching, attain the size and development of a 10-year-old Human child by the age of 3.
Adulthood is reached around 15 years old.
They live around 80 years.

Draconblood Dragonborn
Draconbloods possess long tails and a knack for social manipulation. They remember the days when they were once mighty conquerors.
Ability Score Increase = Intelligence score increases by 2, and Charisma score increases by 1.
Darkvision = can see in dim light within 60 feet, as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. They cannot discern colour in darkness, only shades of gray.
Forceful Presence = can use their understanding of creative diplomacy or intimidation to guide a conversation in their favour. A Charisma (Intimidation or Persuasion) check, is done with advantage. Once used this trait, they cannot do so again until after a short or long rest.

Ravenite Dragonborn
Ravenites have no tails and a hearty physique. They remember the days when they were slaves to the draconblood, as well as the day when they overthrew their masters.
Ability Score Increase = Strength score increases by 2, and Constitution score increases by 1.
Darkvision = can see in dim light within 60 feet, as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. They cannot discern colour in darkness, only shades of gray.
Vengeful Assault = When they take damage from a creature in range of a weapon they are wielding, they can use their reaction to make an attack with the weapon against that creature. Once they use this trait, they cannot do so again until finish a short or long rest.
