Arimidas Republic
The Arimidas Republic lies on on the north-west coast of the White Ocean, with its heartland around the Bay of Sparta, and part of the Federal Province of Mediolama. It is bordered by the nations of Golichistan and the Mediolama Regional Government.
Arimidas is a representative democratic republic, with its capital city located in the old city of Sparta. Most of the Arimidas major cities are located on the coast, either around the Bay of Sparta or further along the White Ocean. As such, the republic has a proud naval tradition, one that it celebrates every year with the Sassanan Naval Show. Its major cities are Hypatia, Sassana, Mokrov.
The Arimidas Republic declared its independence in 44 PC, during the height of the Great Revolution, pre-dating its southern neighbour, the Mediolama Regional Government. Historically, power in the region has flown from the city of Stillwater, once a major stronghold for the Tersten State and home to the Western White Ocean Fleet.

Politics
The Arimidas Republic is a representative democracy, with Anton Pušnik serving as the Republic's Premier. He was elected to the position in 70 PC, and secured a second term in late 74 PC. Pušnik is the head of the Koalicija Centrističnih Strank (KCS), a coalition of centrist parties that united against the popular Labour Party of Arimidas to secure victory in the Arimidas Election of '74. The KCS, like its name suggests, campaigned on a program of neutrality and continuing the status quo, something that only barely won them the election.Demography and Population
The Arimidas Republic is home to a sizeable population of historically south slavic and greek peoples, who have become known as the Arimidan. They are present across the entire nation, but minority populations of Golich and Mediolami are present in Arimidas' northern and southern regions respectively.
