Gros'tahai Kinugal

Emperor Gros'tahai Kinugal, II

Gros'tahai Kinugal, often referred to as Gros'tahai II, was the Emperor of the Manoran Empire from 25 PC until the overthrowing of the Manoran Empire at the end of the Serajji Conflict.  Following his Exile, he was invited to the Lordanian Cluster by the former President of Sol, Roland Camp. He has since lived in Ilana, north of Tersten City.
Kinugal inhereted the position of Emperor from his mother, Empress Jitt, upon her death in 25 PC. At this point in time, the Manoran Empire was the second most powerful Human power in space, occupying a rare position as a Constitutional Monarchy. By all accounts, Gros'tahai II is considered a scholarly emperor, who was too concerned with academics and funding arts and science over managing the Empire, leaving most of the work to his council, known as the Krisatan. It was they who would lead the Empire into its war with the United Nations of Sol, over the agricultural world of Serajji. Once the war ended in a bitter stalemate, and not the quick victory they had expected, it was they who lay the blame on the Emperor, triggering a massive crisis that resulted in the complete overthrow of the monarchy and the establishment of a multi-planetary confederation named for its leading planet, Gilgamesh.  He, alongside the very people that had betrayed him, were forced into exile, along with many hundreds of loyalists.
Notoriously tight-lipped about his life, many believe Gros'tahai II to have given up claims to any throne, and is content to live out his exile in solitude. Many others will be quick to point out the unusually large number of Manoran loyalists that have arrived on Tersten in the past years, including the arrival of his neice, Kali'tal, the presumptuous heir-apparent to the throne. If the Kinugals seek to restore themselves to the throne, then the base of their operations lie firmly in north Calian.
