Amos Sound
The Amos Sound is an inlet of the North Tersten Ocean located in the northern regions of Mora County. It is bounded on the north, south, and west by rough mountainous land that makes up the Amos Peninsula. The eastern side of the Amos Sound gently transitions into the Haywardshire Hills. The whole of the Amos Sound is under the control of Mora County. It is largely divided between the Woodgrove, Shaleford, and Shackleford administrative districts. The major Woodgrove port is the main hub of naval traffic into Mora, connecting up with the Harlotsville Seaport further east.
Woodgrove is settled on the Amos Peninsula, and roads through the area provide the only land access to the region of Skardan to the north-west.
The Amos Sound is full of fishing communities, many of them becoming small towns in their own rights. The region is heavily dependent on the fishing industry, and campaign heavily for protection and regulation of fishing rights.
