João River

The João River is located in Mora County. It runs from the Genesis Lake and into the Amos Sound.  It flows to the west of Moore, running through the Haxby Forest and the Ings of Moore.
It is named after João Araújo, one of Samuel Moore's companions, and second-in-command of the expedition that first brought settlers to Tersten.
