There are many Sar'ket ruins that dot the surface of Tersten, many of them are extraordinarily dangerous, in hard to reach locations.
Sarqandajak
Sarqandajak is a Sar'ket ruin located at the extreme south of Tersten. High in Arcticai Reach, in the Southwatch of the Federal Province of Nevada. It has been the source of many unusual artefacts found on the Yukelan markets. It was first discovered during the Colonial Expedition of 62 PC, which saw the establishment of many modern settlements in the Southwatch. Entering Sarqandajak is relatively easy, but is an arduous trek from the nearest town. It has remained relatively intact due to its isolation. It was sealed by the Tersten State, who then proceeded to plunder most of the items within. However, a band of fighters from the Tersten Resistance, infiltrated the excavation site and put a stop to the pillaging. Legends claim they stopped the Unitarians from obtaining weapons of a terrible psionic power. These days, the ruin is a protected site and studied by archeology teams from the University of Tersten City. Often, artifacts taken from Sarqandajak will end up in the hands of private collectors.
Piitoppakat
Piitoppakat is a Sar'ket ruin located west of the Montana Glacier. It has largely collapsed and is mostly submerged, requiring the use of scuba-diving gear to access and explore. It was first discovered in 29 PC, when Nevokie explorers began charting the glaciers, lakes, and mountains to the south. The city of Piitoppakat was presumably flooded almost entirely after the disappearance of the Sar'ket meant dams and terraforming projects were no longer maintained. Hundreds of thousands of years have created a lake in the valley the city once lay, with only the tops of the hardiest of structures laying above the water level. Entry to the city requires diving deep into an arctic lake, freezing cold and pitch black. It is a challenging place to reach even for experienced divers. Most of the city has been completely destroyed by the elements, but the intricate layout of buildings have ensured at least some rooms have remained dry. However, the water is not the only thing to face down here, as divers have reported being attacked by semi-aquatic creatures lurking in the darkest, deepest parts of Piitoppakat.
Kutikayyaq
Kutikayyaq is a Sar'ket ruin located high in the Pearlstone Mountains. It is extremely difficult to reach, and remains mostly unexplored. It was first discovered by outlaws that had established themselves in the region during the Great Revolution and the ensuing Interregnum. Being chased higher and higher into the hills by the Tersten Army and bounty hunters, a group known as the Morleys, after their leader Bill Morley, stumbled on the ruins of Kutikayyaq and made it their camp. The official reports claim that the gang were discovered by Bounty Hunters, who proceeded to kill the gang, before handing the place over to the military to install a military facility. According to the supposed final words of some of these bounty hunters, what the found at Kutikayyaq were the remains of the Morley Gang, whose bodies had been torn apart by some force, and yet refused to die, requiring tremendous force to finally dispatch, with those bounty hunters killed simply getting back up to assault their former comrades. Whatever the case, a convenient avalanche destroyed the only known route up the mountains to Kutikayyaq, and the land is federal property, protected by the military. Trespasser are politely and firmly turned away from this place.
Karadasndix
Karadasndix is an ancient Sar'ket ruin deep within the Glass Prairie. It was discovered by Rebels during the Great Revolution, and served as a headquarters during this time. During the early years of the revolution, the various groups that would unite to become the Tersten Resistance were unorganized and unconnected. One such group that originated from Nevadan Territory ended up travelling north to evade pursuit by the authorities, getting hopelessly lost in the process. The ruin of Karadasndix was described to appear like a mirage from the desert, and an obvious place to hide. It is alleged that something happened during their time exploring the ruin, as each member of the group present would go on to be regarded as extraordinary fighters who exhibited 'near-supernatural' reflexes. Only those present during the first exploration went on to achieve greatly, as the ruin would go on to become heavily populated by the later-unified Resistance, with no further abnormalities documented. The 'Five Lucky Sons'O'Bitches' would go on to find acclaim all across Tersten, becoming valued members of the Resistance. Two would perish during the Great Revolution, while the rest would go underground following the conclusion of the war, and have remained hidden ever since, only further fueling wild and unprovable legends.
