Granite Coast

The Granite Coast is a region of North-Central Tersten that borders the North Tersten Ocean. It stretches as far as the Haywardshire Hills in the west, with the town of Gnome situated near the border of the Federal Province of Mora. In the west, it borders the Concórdia Hills. It covers most of the Province, bordering the Western Rift, Dowerbridge Vale, and Calian in the south. The Harnonstead Mountains, in the center of the Granite Coast, serve as a blockade against the cold northern winds, shielding much of Calian but leaving the Granite Coast a desolate and frigid tundra.
The two most important cities on the Granite Coast are Northstream and Harlotsville.  Northstream is located around the forested hills of the central coastal region. What little development has taken place has been focused on mining efforts in the far north, including arctic oil drilling.  Harlotsville is built on the banks of the Derwent River as it makes its way into the North Tersten Ocean. Much of the land around Harlotsville is former marshland, drained of water during the late 30s. The Derwent Estuary is a major shipping route, with the Harlotsville Seaport being the busiest port on the north coast.
Most of the settlements built in the region are settled west of the Derwent, with the towns of Neasdon, Wannago, and Gnome.
