Chandra Free State
The Chandra Free State is a minor republic in Yukela. First founded in 13 PC, the Free State lasted until 29 PC, when it was absorbed into the Tersten State after a brief conflict known as the War of Chandran Submission, ending in complete Chandran defeat and military occupation by the People's Republic of Lordania until 45 PC. The modern Chandra Free State was re-founded in late 45 PC as a regional republic, soon becoming a part within the greater Yukela Pradesh in 47 PC.
Chandra is a republic, with Mehar Padia serving as its Prime Minister. The capital of Chandra is Kadari, on the banks of the Kadari Reach. The Ashinga River defines the boundary between Chandra and Yukela.
The Chandra Free State was first created by settlers from the PPA Colonial Expanse. They had intended to reach Nevada, but instead found the vast Yukela region, becoming some of the first settlers to arrive. The people of Chandra predate many of the Yukelan settlers by over 25 years, leading to a minor source of tension owing to the dominance of South Harelstone in the modern Yukelan region.
