Neverwinter Stories: Campaign 1 — Session 39p1

Book One: The Trees of Life and Death — Chapter Thirty-Nine Paralogue: To the Death?

General Summary

Maephera and Arilisa whisked the two girls away to a protected grove filled with diverse biomes not native to the Neverwinter Woods. They introduced this place as the Sylvan Circles, a diplomatic meeting ground for fey of all kinds, and brought Alessandra and Lilith to see the master of the land, The Judge. Before them, the four pleaded their cases and demanded a fight to the death to settle their dispute. While a fight to the death violated the law of the land, The Judge organized a competition between the two girls, letting them champion their chosen dryads. The girls swore an oath to uphold the game's rules: not to lie and compete until there was a victor. To ensure that they upheld this promise, The Judge placed a powerful geas on them. After enjoying baths, food, and drink with their champions, the dryads took them down into the awakened tree's root system to rest and prepare for the upcoming competition.

Rewards Granted

For taking their respective sides, the Dryads gave their champions a reward they promised. Maephera fetched a forgotten cache of items left by criminals. It contained 25 platinum coins, 5 pounds of opium (worth 50 GP), a knife, and a smokepowder bomb. Arilisa offered "special services" to Alessandra, which amounted to indulging in fine foods, enchanting baths, and the pleasures of sex. The experiences were wild and enriching, giving her inspiration.

Missions/Quests Completed
