Book One: The Trees of Life and Death — Chapter Twenty-Nine Paralogue: Paranoia Problems

General Summary

After the party arrived at Blackford Crossing, they all packed up their things and retired for the night. All—except one. Half-Moon's madness was worsening, and in her delirious state she interpreted Redgy's attempted con as an attack on the group, establishing himself as a threat to their safety. To extinguish this "threat", the bard snuck out of the settlement, borrowed one of the Redwings' horses, and road towards the Neverwinter Woods.

Once she was in the woods she immediately starting spreading the Blight Plague: contaminating a spring and infecting a primal elk. It wasn't long after were she found the satyr from before and attempted to murder him. Despite her best efforts, he proved too resilient and was restored by a benevolent unicorn. She fortune turned worse still when a centaur Groverunner name Iderus discovered her lurking in the brush. Half-Moon fled as fast as she could, the ranger hot on her heels. Through careful misdirection, agile footwork, and dumb luck, she was able to narrowly escape to Groverunner's justice.

Wounded and exhausted, the half-elf limb back to the relative safety of her friend's company.

Notes

During the chase, Half-Moon lost a lot of blood. This blood carried the Blight Plague and had inadvertently corrupted some of the forest.
