Neverwinter Stories: Book One – Chapter Ten

General Summary

Our heroes weighed their options carefully. There was a notice board outside of the Ol' Boar Inn that offered three different jobs — a missing poster of a local child, a wanted poster for Worvil "the Weevil" Forkbeard, and a third poster written by Mayor Vurnor Leng. The poster stated that they were to warn two dwarven prospectors named Dazlyn Grayshard and Norbus Ironrune about an unusually aggressive wyvern in the area, and then return to Mayor Leng for a reward of 50 gold pieces. Wanting to make some quick and easy money, the party set out for the dwarven excavation. However, our heroes decided to make a detour. They returned to the Sunless Citadel and went down the one path that they hadn't gone before.
After maneuvering through traps and solving puzzles, the party gained access to an ancient tomb were a once powerful dragon priestess for the cult of the dragon had been buried. The tomb was guarded by a quasit named Jot who was caught in a bottle after being tricked by Miguel. They then opened the sarcophagus to find the priestess — a troll that still lived. The priestess was calm at first, but soon her hunger overtook what remained of her reason. Instead of trying to accommodate the deranged troll, the party baited her into a trap and swiftly killed her with Lilith's flames. They then looted what remained in the sarcophagus and made their way back to the surface in pursuit of their main goal.
