Book One: The Trees of Life and Death — Chapter Thirty-Eight: Welcome to the Woods
General Summary
Returning to their separated allies proved challenging. The blights threw needles, cast vines and, and summoned roots, all to delay their arrival. With Alessandra leading the way and Markus making new ones, they brushed passed the evil creature's obsticles.
They carved a path through waves of corrupted, awakened nature, eventually breaching their ranks and reuinting with Erazek and Trogo "Good Shot". But this didn't came without cost. Lilith was nearly slain, Alessandra was swarmed, and Markus was seperated from the pack. To make matters worse two large blight kings, nearly as huge as the Blight Beast, entered the fray. They despriately attemped to regroup. As the started to eak out an advantage, Sir Braford's body suddenly rose and joined our heroes against the blights. Together they slew the kings and scattered what remained.
Finally reunited, The group decided that the best course of action was to retreat, and entrench themselves in cave they saw while scouting.
It was an uneasy night, but it wasn't long until the main group caught up once morning came. The Redwings explained to Worvil "the Weevil" and Swordhar Evercrown what had happened, how they all nearly met their end in the blight's clever ambush and the situation with Sir Braford. The fallen paladin said he had been in the woods for some time, rampaging against the blights and attempting to kill Belak. His unnatural abilities gave him constant awareness of all blights, members of the Crimson Enclave, and even Belak himself. This meant that Braford could lead the Redwings to his lair so they can mount an offense, a point Markus was eager to bring up. However, many were quick to point out the dangers of attacking an enemy that nearly killed them, greatly outnumbered them, and knew the land. There were also several objections to the idea since most of those that gathered came to discover a legend, not battle a villain. Blights were sure to come again in greater number, and they were exposed. Erazek proposed that the point group should try and contact the local fey, observing that they had been combating the blights for some time and that regardless of their next move, the fey would be vital in making any progress. Everyone agreed to the plan. The point group gathered together and set out in a rush, looking to get ahead while the blights were still routed.
The forest was getting older and denser as they delved further. A few hours passed before our heroes found any signs of fey. Once they did, they found two dryads bickering over which of the two was more beautiful. Askra asked them if they could guide them towards the nearest fey community. They agreed, but only if the party could settle their debate. After much back and forth and several failed attempts, Lilith convinced the two to collect alcohol so they can measure their tastes. The plan was to stroke both of their egos until they obtained both rewards and obtained their goal, but after she, the dryads, and Alessandra did some "taste-testing" the plan was derailed and the situation escalated. In the end, the dryads chose the two princesses as their own champions and decided that they would settle this by having them fight to the death in a place called the Sylvan Circles. The thoroughly inebriated girls agreed and were whisked away. Any chance of finding them would have been lost if it hadn't been for Markus' familiars who were unwittingly dragged into the bizarre feylands with them.

Markus used the eladrin's embers to slay one of the blight kings, loosing them.
Despite the party attempting to return his stolen items, Sir Braford refused to accept them. Instead, he asked for the party to make good use of them before returning them to Helm's Hold.
Sir Braford couldn't be convinced to accompany the party, so he returned to hunting Belak and his blights.
