We fight the water elemental. Cali gets stuck in the elemental itself, drowning until Wulf yanks them out. Wulf ends up taking a lot of damage, but Quell kills it in a victorious thundery display.
We make our way to a shack, hoping to rest in it. There's a raccoon sleeping inside, but otherwise it's unoccupied. There's a large handmade box with a copper lock on the front that Quell inspects. She tries and fails to pick the lock, so Wulf breaks it off for her. Inside are amethysts, 40sp, letters (in druidic), and healing potions.
Quell leaves a note, thanking the owner for the potions, and leaves 3gp in its place.
In the brush around the building, Wulf finds a statuette, a dagger, and a broken arrow with a silver point. Quell squeezes the water out of her hair and clothes while we rest.
On the trail, we run into poisonous mushrooms and then an elven boy named Pali. He's an acolyte, trying to bring us "imminences" to his "lady". She is... expecting us??? We follow him back through the forest into a secluded cove. This is a small druidic community. The lady appears human, except for her dark skin and bright green eyes.
We are... SO confused. Quell pretends to know what is going on and negotiates a bit in order to get more details, while Cali and Wulf frown quizzically behind her.
The lady, who we find out is named Lady Loaka, mentions a "Thirk" who was originally meant to take care of it. Cali bluffs about "personal matters" and Wulf tries to intimidate. We're told to approach at nightfall to find "the object," and Loaka gives us more information about traps to look out for, and "the guardian". She says not to let it speak to us because it can lie, and she thinks someone's soul is in it. Until we get past him, the tunnels below the lighthouse are impenetrable. The lighthouse rebuilds itself. But that is where the "object" is. The guardian is undead/a spirit. It can look like someone you know.
The raccoon from the shack followed us!! After we chat alone, it gets our attention from the trees. Rabbit goes to the raccoon, who motions for us to follow. The raccoon writes "Am Druid" in the dirt and we start speaking to him via Quell's message cantrip.
His name is Kama! He is a good guy and says the people trying to make us get the shard are bad. He's part of a community trying to protect the lighthouse. We have to decide how best to proceed. We plan to meet Kama's group, then plot to kill Loaka.
Kama morphs into a person while leading us to the camp. He thanks us, and is cool with our taking the potions. We do have to give the bottles back after.
The druid encampment is hidden behind a thicket, huts made of woven vines. It's bustling. Wulf asks Kama if he can turn into a wolf, and we meet a hot lady in old green armor with a longbow and vine tattoos. Cali is entranced by her.
We plot with the hot lady on how to get Lady Loaka alone so it's easier to kill her. We decide to sneak in the camp tonight and try to kill her while she's sleeping.
Oani (the hot druid lady) wants us to see if there are scouts looking for us, and if so to kill or bring them back. However, we are to spare Leelee she has short, curly hair, and wear a green headband.
We probably have to destroy something she's put her soul into to kill her; probably something of her father's, in her hut.
