Session 4: Anaka and the Town Feast

The feast is hearty and magical. The town makes a drum circle. Cali dances in a circle with them.
 
Wulf tried ALL the meats. There was jam because of Ari's influence (lol wow). Quell eats colorful foods only.
 
Wulf has never seen dancing before. He asks Quell about it. Cali dances very differently than everyone else and Quell says they're doing it wrong.
 
Anaka offers to let us stay at her place. Wulf asks if she taught everyone how to dance, and is alarmed that Anaka has 2 left feet.
 
Wulf will follow Enno home so he can watch him. "Don't be weird about it."
 
Wulf and Enno discuss what it means to look stupid. Enno teaches Wulf to dance. Cali waves enthusiastically (thanks, wine) when Wulf approaches. Quell wishes she had a camera. Cali is responsible and fp;;pws everyone back to Anaka's, drunk. Cali falls asleep on the porch by accident. Wulf wakes up with a cat and is confused.
 
Anaka makes us breakfast. She gives us gifts. Wulf gets a shell ring, Quell gets an ioun stone, Cali gets a dark wooden turtle carving that's a periapt of health. We also get greater healing potions.
 
Anaka meditated on the cold shard crystal. "The living change, the dead do not." After the war, she met another Anaka who she met again last night. She tells us to talk to Tasha Bloodsail, a famous pirate and the founder of Vlotdok (Quells knows this, but not us). She sailed 50 years ago and may well be dead. Anaka reveals that she's in Tagatae, and very much alive. (She was a lesbian, Harold.) Tasha retired there and changed her name. She knows what the crystal is. Vaitafe is just over a day's walks from us and has boats willing to take us there.
 
Tasha's wife is Marana. We don't know Tasha's new name. Una asks us to take a pendant to her family and tell Doirin she's alive. They may pay us.
 
We thank Anaka, and Enno tells Wulf to dance more. We head off for Vaitafe. We come to a steaming pond that people appear from. 4 of them fly at us, hissing. We fight them. Cali kills one and it explodes. "It did not explode well." They all die and Quell does more damage to Cali than any of the moffets. Wulf gives the fire resistant amulet to Quell. He then calls her weak and squishy.
 
As they continue, there's something odd about the trees. All of them are young, as if the forest is recovering from a catastrophe. Cali investigates. Clearings don't last this long. What happened?
 
Wulf walks into the clearing and humanoid shadows appear, minding their own business. Cali is uneasy. They don't like ghosts. These could be village ruins.
 
Cali feels a cold hand on their shoulder. They yelp and whip around, sword out, to see a ghost with tattoos like Anaka. She says "Please... who are you? ... ... ... Who are we?"
