Quell is escorting Taimi to the people who work for her/came with her so we can get a reward. Cali stays behind with the boss lady and the alley dude. Taimi summons a guy named Kappa in the alley. He looks related to her. They all go to a building where Taimi's escorts have been staying. They have been robbed.
Taimi's crew ships luxury goods while avoiding the King's taxes. They were able to ship timber to Dria. Wulf wants to go to Dria because "they have oranges there."
The thieves didn't take any money, which is odd. If we give a seal to the captain we can catch a ride on the ship to the lighthouse. Shipping records are very valuable, so maybe that's why they were taken, but the reason is still unclear. We'll ask boss lady and alley dude, and kill them after. For this, we're given more gold.
Quell and Wulf return to Cali. We rest in the warehouse. On Wulf's watch that night, there's a knock on the door. It's a group of people in the shadows that he doesn't recognize. They claim they're Town Watch. Wulf closes the door and they just leave. Quell questions a very confused Wulf when it's her turn to take watch.
On Quell's watch, someone sneaks in the window. When they realize Quell saw them, they try to dart back out the window, but Quell casts hold person on them and goes to investigate. She calls Cali up and ties his hands. Cali grabs the knife he has and pockets it. The dude's name is Ren. He mentions someone named. Vince. We interrogate him. He says there were some northerners? He thinks it was probably the Glaepur. (The mafia, basically.)
We rob him but let him keep his money and threaten him. He scrambles out the window. Cali runs into Wulf creepily standing behind the door and it scares the shit out of them. "What the fuck are you doing????" He just nods and goes back to bed.
In the morning, we interrogate the two prisoners we took. Laxca, the boss lady, tells us that Topazi hired her. He's a Drian merchant. The alley dude's name is Maigo. He had no idea that they were affiliated with the Glaepur. Laxca flinches. She says she accepted the idnapping job to protect her people. The "ice man" in the Glaepur was going to freeze them all into ice.
We get the address to Laxca's stash, where she has a magical communication device for contacting them after 1 week so they can confirm they have the girl, but then plan to meet a week later to deliver her at the docks.
We cut them loose and make them stay down there while we leave. We head to the stash. We find 200gp, 300sp, a very large ruby, a crystal we assume is the communication device, and a cursed dagger. It's in a waterproof bag. There are also some ivory dice.
We return to the office of Kaartsa and relay the information about the Glaepur. We need to get a message to Taimi's aunt, the hut woman.
The hut woman tells us not to engage, and to send Taimi home by the Oddson immediately, and keep business running as usual.
We head out. Wulf goes to find his weapon, and Cali wants food. Cali also plans to sell stuff before they leave town.
