With only 25 inhabitants, this tight-knit community has chosen a life far removed from the hustle and bustle of civilization. Approximately 200 kilometres from the nearest larger settlement, Gnomingen, the residents of Oakridge live a self-sustained lifestyle, relying on their own hands' work to meet their needs. Here, time seems to slow down, and the rhythm of life is dictated by the changing seasons and the beauty of the natural world.

Infrastructure
The infrastructure of Oakridge is simple yet sufficient for its small population. The settlement consists of a cluster of sturdy wooden houses, each built by the hands of its residents. The homes are designed to withstand the harsh northern climate, with thick walls and steeply pitched roofs to shed snow.
A communal building serves multiple purposes: a gathering hall, a place for communal meals, and a workshop for various crafts. The settlement also has a small blacksmith's forge, where essential tools and equipment are made and repaired. A well in the centre of the village provides fresh water, and a communal garden supplies vegetables and herbs.
