The Twilight Pantheon embodies the struggle between control and defiance, oppression and hope, secrets and revelations. These four deities shape the fate of Han, their influence woven into the very fabric of its people - whether through domination, resistance, wisdom, or mercy. The Veiled Republic upholds Taiqun, the Veiled Sage, and Hanzhou, the Emperor of Bones, as the rightful lords of order, while the whispers of rebellion carry the names of
Jinu, the Crimson Fox, and Meiyu, the Gentle Bloom, through the streets and shadows.
The worship of these gods is as fractured as Han itself. The Veiled Republic claims Taiqun and Hanzhou as their patrons, enforcing strict religious doctrine that favours order, secrecy, and the inevitability of power. Meanwhile, the resistance and the common people cling to Jinu and Meiyu, whispering their names in rebellion and quiet defiance.
To be caught openly worshipping Jinu or Meiyu is to invite punishment, yet their names persist - painted in hidden places, whispered in dark corners, and sung in secret songs.
