Taiqun, the god of magic, secrets, and hidden knowledge, is the silent architect of Han's rigid order. He is depicted as a faceless figure draped in layered, ever-shifting robes, his features obscured by the ever-changing Veil of Knowing, which is said to hold all the knowledge of the universe. He is the patron of forbidden wisdom, illusion, and governance through control, venerated by those who seek to bend reality to their will. The Veiled Republic of Han claims Taiqun as their divine benefactor, justifying their rule as the natural order of those who possess power over the ignorant masses.

Aspects of Taiqun

Knowledge & Secrets: Taiqun’s followers believe that knowledge should be hoarded, not shared. Truth is a weapon, and those who wield it wisely gain power over those who do not.   Magic & Illusion: He is the master of arcane mastery and deception, teaching that reality itself is malleable in the hands of those who understand its hidden workings.   Law & Control: Order is not meant to be questioned. Taiqun’s doctrine states that only the strong and enlightened should govern, for only they have the wisdom to shape destiny.   The Unseen Hand: Taiqun rarely intervenes directly, instead weaving influence through whispers, hidden truths, and careful manipulations. He is revered by those who work from the shadows, guiding events without ever being seen.

Worship & Rituals

The Ritual of the Sealed Tongue: Initiates of Taiqun undergo a silent vigil, swearing an oath to never reveal knowledge unworthy of the ignorant. Some even have their tongues ritually marked or cut as a sign of their devotion to secrecy.   The Archive of Unwritten Truths: Devout followers keep forbidden tomes and codices of secret histories, adding their own observations to Han’s hidden record of truth. Many of these writings are kept locked away within the halls of the Veiled Republic.   The Ceremony of the Hidden Name: High-ranking disciples of Taiqun abandon their birth names, adopting cryptic titles that reflect their mastery over deception and knowledge. The true names of these individuals are said to be erased from existence.   The Eclipse Ordeal: On the night of a lunar eclipse, aspiring scholars and mages attempt to steal knowledge from one another through elaborate tests of wit, trickery, and arcane skill. The victor is granted higher standing within Taiqun’s order.

Philosophy of Taiqun’s Followers

“Truth is a blade best kept hidden.”

“To know is to rule. To rule is to shape destiny.”

“Magic is the language of the gods. Learn it, and you may speak with them - or silence them forever.”

“A lie told with purpose is worth more than a truth spoken in ignorance.”

This was the first deity article of yours I’ve read and I’m curious if there is another god of knowledge. Because this one here is practically the opposite of my gif of knowledge.

Deities in my world are just god a for x, god b for y, ... and then for all the world. Each region or species or ethnicity could have its own deities, with overlapping aspects.

"Order is not meant to be questioned" oh honey, Taiqun, you're the living example of high int low wis. If you're not questioning order, you'll never rise above. But for a deity, being that rigid makes sense.
