"WHAT'S THAT LOUD BANGING OVER THERE?"
"WHAT?"
"THE BANGING!"
"THAT'S THE GNOMES, THEY ARE PROBABLY FINISHING ANOTHER ONE OF THEIR INVEN..."
BOOOOM
"... ah well, maybe not. At least it's quiet for a while now."
The Gnome Workshop is an organization exclusively (with one exception: Solange La) run by gnomes. The organization is known for their scientific interest and inventions, many of the latter ones go boom. Most of their inventions are powered by steam, some by magic, a few by both. The smallest ones include mechanical insects, the largest ones are steam powered trains and ships and Aeum powered airships.

Gnome Workshop by Tillerz

History

This way and that way and back again   Gnome Workshop undertook one of the most daring and difficult excavation undertakings ever attempted when they were tasked with discovering and excavating an ancient temple buried deep inside the mountains in the east of Bridgeport. The gnomes had heard stories of this enigmatic location from local legends, but no one could tell them precisely where it may be situated or what mysteries lie concealed beneath the walls of this intriguing structure.   The initiative started out with a lot of energy and excitement as the group dove headfirst into unfamiliar terrain in quest of hints that would bring them closer to achieving their objective. But after weeks of searching through caves, tunnels, and underground passages, they were still no closer to where they started than when they started out. That is, until one day, luck finally smiled upon them: they spotted strange symbols carved into rocks that seemed like some kind of map leading directly towards their destination. Eagerly pursuing these signals ultimately led our heroes precisely under a mountain peak. They were just at the entry steps of gigantic ruins that everyone felt were similar to those mentioned in the ancient legends.   Unfortunately, however, after they delved further into inner chambers, things rapidly took a turn for the worst since instead of discovering relics from bygone civilizations, all that was left were mounds of debris packed with shattered stones strewn everywhere. It did not take long before it became plainly obvious that somebody else must have been here before us and removed each and every artefact that may have been present here a very long time ago, leaving behind nothing valuable besides piles of dust... and disappointment among the brave explorers, who now realised just how close yet far away success had actually been throughout the entire journey.

We bang on it until it works!

Bridgeport
The map of Bridgeport, a harbour city located in the south of Farenia, showcases a maritime center characterized by vibrant activity and bustling trade. Unlike other cities in Farenia, Bridgeport's harbour opens onto a different sea, setting it apart and granting it a unique status. To bolster its connectivity and reinforce its importance in regional trade, the ambitious Bridgeport Channel project is underway. Not everyone is pleased with the construction of the new channel, leading to a surge in violent resistance...
