Neverwinter Stories: Book One – Prologue

General Summary

Our story begins when our heroes: Alessandra Corlinnar, a fair skinned lady on a quest to restore her family's lost legacy; Markus Grasswind, a former guard hailing from Triboar, who's now on the hunt for rare draconic magics; Unit 7-5-3, a mysterious construct with a forgotten history who'd recently been revived by a wandering artificer; and Zalak, a gaunt man with a kind heart; first encountered each other in the village of Oakhurst. Each one had received a mysterious invitation from a source going by the name "Evanolhis". They arrived late into the day and decided to rest in the Ol' Boar Inn before investigating further, chatting with the innkeeper Garon to pass the time.
  When they awoke, they were confronted by a hill giant named Arog who was attempting to extort food stuff from the locals and the party. The confrontation turned sharply into violence after Arog attempted to take Alessandra's horse, resulting in the death of the giant and a congratulatory dinner invitation from the village's constable, Felosial.
