Rho Tasralas System
Star system located near the home systems of the first several members of the early Hyperion Federation (United Nations of Tebburus, Saelian Coalition, Drimax United Systems, ect.).
The Rho Tasralas system is more commonly known as the Dyson Sphere Alpha star, as this was the star that Dyson Sphere was built around. It was an impressive undertaking, being built around a class F star and allowing each of those nations access to a massive amount of energy, the very useful nature of such a structure was too significant to pass up. The impressive nature of the project was further compounded by the class F nature of the star.
There used to be habitable planets in the system, but they were evacuated long before construction on the sphere. They mostly got citizenship on the sphere itself after that was complete to compensate. The HF at the time launched indiscriminate extraction operations on all astronomical bodies of the system except the star itself and has exhausted every planet and asteroid in the system, significantly reducing their mass. After the invention of Planck-dismantlement beams these were reduced further until the star was the only natural object left in the system.
After the construction of the Dyson sphere every planet turned into ice planets or ice giants as they no longer received sunlight.
Every nation contributed a lot of resources to its construction, but some nations like the Micars Empire and Leosus Federation were not members of the HF at the time. The Empire joined the HF during its construction despite the Micars-HF war nearly 1 millennium beforehand. The Leosus Federation joined shortly after its completion. Both managed to obtain a quantity of its energy. However, they would contribute to future Dyson spheres and star lifters.
As it became a key area for antimatter fuel fabrication, it also became a key military base. The Rho Tastalas system was at the time the largest military base of the HF, which built a huge number of shipyards and defence platforms orbiting it.
