Psi Kaus VI
The 6th planet of the Psi Kaus System, which is owned by the Confederation of Psi Kaus.
This is one of the hottest planets in nearby orbits because of its thick atmosphere that retains a lot of heat. Before the HF first contact, It was one of the most mined planets in the system despite its heat - they could use PPE to survive the conditions. Even the HF constantly mines on the planet because of the richness in metal materials. Although the weather can often be extremely powerful and dangerous, it is still considered very profitable to mine. This has given the world a surprisingly high value.
One key feature of the world is a massive ravine that is easily visible from orbit. This has formed under the divergence of 2 tectonic plates and there is a large stream of lava at the bottom. The ravine also has a lot of mining equipment within it to extract useful metal from the lava as it is a key location with high lava flow rates.
They have defended it with many large railgun platforms and shield generators in case of attack by enemy faction forces that appear behind HF lines or raiding parties such as pirates or terrorists. It's also in a difficult to attack location.
This planet also has one of the largest shipyards commonly used by this species in the system, in orbit. It can easily obtain material from the world it orbits which allows it to build any ship smaller than a Hyperion - Class Worldship Carrier.
