Rho Tasralais I
A lava planet of the Rho Tasralas System, which is owned by the Hyperion Federation.
Before the construction of the Dyson Sphere, named Dyson Sphere Alpha, the planet was extremely hot due to the very close proximity to the star. However, just before its construction the HF has extracted all valuable materials from the planet including its fully metallic core, leaving the planet as an eternally drifting rock of useless material. The planet became very cold over time after the Dyson sphere was built and continued in this orbit practically undisturbed for thousands of years until the invention of t he Planck-dismantlement beam, which harvested all the mass-energy of the planet and reduced it to nothing.
Before the hyper-escalation of mining operations, the once-lava planet was a useful source of materials for the faction, as they could simply filter the lava and extract hot metal. After this, they would only need to cast it before the metal manufacturing process was complete. This made it very easy to obtain a huge amount of material. The mining escalation was a surprisingly large undertaking, immense mining equipment was carried to the planet from all corners of the HF territory at the time. Now they could do it more easily, but this operation was feasible as an almost type II civilization. They could also perform star lifting if they wanted to.
