Leosus Federation

A unique entity of the Hyperion Federation; the Leosus Federation is the only constituent of the HF that is not a star nation! Comprised of several alien civilizations on a large ring world, the Leosus Federation exists mainly to prevent armed conflict between its own constituent star nations, as historically, they fought wars with each other in attempts to conquer their home ring world of Leosus.   The Leosus ring world is powered through yet unknown means, despite the entire interior being scanned and explored by the HF.   The Leosus Federation managed to place a lot of powerful defenses on the outside of the ring world, making it a powerul fort. They also had surface - orbit weapons on the inside of the ring world as well, which means that 2 sets of weapons could shoot in most directions at a time. A very large elevation limit was intentionally placed however to prevent the weapon from firing directly up at the other side of the ring world.   The Leosus Federation also takes several holidays off such as integration day, which is when the HF found the leosans. They also have diversity day, after unification anyway, which happens on their unification day. This celebrates the high diversity of leosus culture due to having many species evolve on the world.   Although the humans are very well known on the ring world, they actually own a small fraction of it. Their population is well into the billions but despite this they still have a lot of room to grow, usually. Some other inhabiting species includes planetoids, aliens that resemble humanoid wolves, creatures with a single large eye and more.   Following the First World War, which has caused a lot of destruction, a large effort was run by virtually every nation to repair their infrastructure. This consumed a lot of resources, but a 2nd world war was not started. There was also a period of rapid technological advancement as the industrial era was coming to an end. More advanced devices, including a key technology - the computer - became far more widespread, allowing for many options in automating various menial tasks. Almost every nation had some, and the next major wars would appear totally different from those of the First World War.
