Leosus Ring World

Ring world built a very long time ago. It was built by the Rih’kiel Remnant during its prime before the Calamity. It served as a zoo-like environment for the species that inhabit it, protecting them from alien forces. Due to being abandoned after the Calamity, the ring world itself has fallen slightly into disrepair, but despite this, the famous navigation lights remained functioning. On one side of the ring, red lights dot the ring and on the other side there are blue lights. As everyone on the ring world can easily see the lights, it gives a sense of direction on the ringworld.
When the Hyperion Federation discovered Leosus, they made contact with the native factions, which by this point could easily travel to space. The HF repaired the ring world.   The ring world has a very wide variety of biomes within it. Some species are better suited to some biomes than others, but biomes such as deserts, forests, massive oceans, and mountain ranges can be seen. The Leosus Ring World, due to its sheer scale, has a larger surface area than most planets (but not massive planets such as Tebburus). This makes it quite powerful, and a lot of metal ore can be found on the ring world. It is quite heavily developed by now, with species like the Aquris owning the oceans and underwater cities. Despite the extraction efforts, they have not yet caused irreversable damage to the ring world, although some mining attempts have damaged the ring world slightly. It has been repaired after each 'episode'. The ring word would power the navigation lights through collecting energy from the sun that it orbits. It also uses this energy to maintain its orbital velocity and spin rate (angular velocity) in order to gurantee the ring world remaining habitable and operational after a very long time, despite photons being likely to slow it down due to having momentum.     A unique coordinate system was adopted for the Ring World. It plots locations by recording the angle of a point relative to the center of the ring world The angular displacement from a predetermined zero point is taken, along witih the point's distance from the red side of the navigation lights. As the rotation from the center is far less accurate but more significant than the distance form the red side of the navigation lights, that number is recorded first.
