Troloren

A planet in the Leoseus System.     Troloren is a large gas giant. It is the largest planet in the Leosus system, featuring many intense storms including the 'great cyclone', a particularly famous storm large enough to fit most smaller planets into entirely. The great cyclone has been known to exist for a very long time, long before the formation of the Leosus Federation.   Troloren also has a large asteroid ring. The Leosus Federation has set up colonies in the ring and mine many of the asteroids within it. Although the ring does not support a population as large as a regular planet can, it has been made relatively comfortable over time. The rings have also formed its own culture not seen elsewhere.   Troloren is a deep yellow-brown shade of colour. It contains a large variety of useful materials within itself and the asteroids which is often exploited by the various gas giant extraction and mining stations used by the Leosus Federation. It is one of the larger mining planets in the star system, probably due to the sheer scale of the planetary system. It is relatively cold despite the many varied storms that often happen. Perhaps its greatest feature is the single large, planet sized moon that orbits it. This object, Troloren I, contains relatively large amounts of very valuable metals such as gold and iridium. As there is no life on the planet, the Leosus Federation has placed large facilities designed to extract material from the core. This causes the planet to lose atmosphere to the vacuum of space (and Troloren itself) due to a decline in magnetosphere strength. Due to the composition of the rock, this planet takes up a fairly golden-browm appearance from orbit except for the many varied spots of dark grey rock, possibly caused by meteor impacts in the initial formation stages of the planets formation - as many large asteroids collided with each other to form the planet.
